Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker | BT PPV - 24 September 2022
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker | BT PPV - 24 September 2022
While I wouldn’t mock anyone for picking Parker in this one, I’d be amazed if the Kiwi can land anything that Joyce can’t shrug off easily.
It’s surely a big ask for Parker to block / make Joyce miss for 12 rounds while keeping up his own punch output. Rather him than me.
But may the best man win.

Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker | BT PPV - 24 September 2022
Parker: “This is My Arena - Fury, Chisora Twice and Joyce Will Be My Fourth Win There”
"That is my arena. Three wins, Hughie (Fury), Derek (Chisora) and Derek again, so I'm going to make it four," Parker told the PA news agency.
"I know the UK supporters have been very good to me, very welcoming so I feel this is another home for me. I do know when I fight one of their own, they always support their own but there will be some I have taken as my own and will be cheering for me. I am looking forward to putting on a great show."
"Tyson is at most training sessions, we go for runs and he's in the gym. He lets Andy (Lee) teach me, train me and come up with game plans but he adds his advice when and where he can. When he is in the gym, he brings this positive vibe and good energy so it is always good to have Tyson in the gym. In his own gym that I have now made my own," Parker said.
"It will be good to see (Fury vs Joshua). Tyson has retired multiple times and come back multiple times but I think he will be here a while in the boxing game. He still has a lot to give."

No one going to this, or they would have put it in a shopping centre.

This is flying under the radar a bit i think. One of the best fights of the year in my opinion.
its a should be Olympic champ vs ex world champ. True Heavyweight bust up, world title implications, 50-50 (and not just on result, i have no idea what the fuks going to happen), I really like this fight.

I'm fully up for this fight and a couple on the undercard as well.gregregegg wrote: ↑21 Sep 2022, 22:23 This is flying under the radar a bit i think. One of the best fights of the year in my opinion.

Could be the heavyweight fight of a fairly lacklustre year.
I see it as close to 50/50.
It starts a 6 am on Sunday, but stuff it, I'm get up for it and may even choke a beer down by the time the main event starts around 11 am

That’s close enough to lunchtime to justify forcing a beer down.KiwiRider wrote: ↑22 Sep 2022, 01:46I'm fully up for this fight and a couple on the undercard as well.gregregegg wrote: ↑21 Sep 2022, 22:23 This is flying under the radar a bit i think. One of the best fights of the year in my opinion.

I can’t remember a proper PPV (excluding those Eubank ones on ITV) with so little hype or excitement.gregregegg wrote: ↑21 Sep 2022, 22:23 This is flying under the radar a bit i think. One of the best fights of the year in my opinion.

There have been adverts on BT but that’s all I’ve seen really.

I assume that’s because Parker is kind of a big deal in New Zealand.KiwiRider wrote: ↑22 Sep 2022, 02:24It's been chooked to the poohole on Sky Nz matemaverick23 wrote: ↑22 Sep 2022, 02:15I can’t remember a proper PPV (excluding those Eubank ones on ITV) with so little hype or excitement.gregregegg wrote: ↑21 Sep 2022, 22:23 This is flying under the radar a bit i think. Joyce isn’t over here. At least not yet. He’s been handled really poorly since the good win against Dubois.

Who is Dev Sahni?
Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker | BT PPV - 24 September 2022
Think he works for Warren or Bt Sport. He often does interviews with Warren on behalf of Queensbury.
The banter in this press conference is off the charts. Really building this one up.
