Baby Face Finster wrote: 27 Dec 2018, 13:51 I just don't believe all the excuses for why his most recent test came back positive. Why did he turn down WADA testing if he is being honest about being clean? Could it be that WADA is a lot more stringent and competent in their testing protocol than USADA? I believe so. USADA isn't the best organization to test athletes, especially Americans, for steroids. This whole situation smells fishy and where there's smoke there is usually fire.
Novitzky was on Rogans show explaining it or attempting to. Anyway he let slip that the test everyone is talking about is actually Jones’ 3rd positive test in the run up to this fight.
Are you not buying what Novinsky is stating?
I'm not. Anyone that is completely clean wouldn't have turned down WADA testing. Jones is dirty. He simply got caught micro dosing and now the UFC is in damage control to salvage this year end card. Too much money was at stake to cancel this card.

What little I've heard from Novitzky, he comes off as a typical company bullshitter.

MVPs father is dead.
Shockingly I learned about this by seeing a number of posts on my Facebook expressing sadness over it.

Apparently Jones voluntarily enrolled in the VADA program Monday. I'm not sure what to think as VADA's protocol is basically the same as USADA. I'd prefer if WADA was involved.

I don't know enough about the science of testing to have an opinion myself. I have to go with the experts. What Novinsky is saying makes sense to me. Whether we think it's legit or not comes down to speculation. Novinsky could be blowing smoke up our asses, or not.

But, what doesn't make sense more than anything, is if Jones got popped twice already for miniscule amounts of the long term metabolite from turinabol, why would he continue to microdose the same stuff when he knows it's that detectable?

Yeah that is what i thought you were referring to..... apparently the capacity in which he assisted USADA to get the reduction isnt public knowledge.... but they wouldnt have bent for peanuts eh....

Bit over the whole Jones saga myself...

Very even fight imo.... head slightly leans with mendes, but heart would like to see the aussie get up..... big fan of both guys though....

Oh right haha. Yeah it's all getting boring with jones now.

I think mendes, but I'm not ruling out volkanovski at all, two solid fighters, quality match making

Great call by Silva's corner to pull him out. Great to hear the commentators applaude the decision too..... probably couldve been stopped by the ref towards the end of 2nd...

I think what you saw there was a naturally modest, respectful guy trying to talk a little game.... hence the stumbling over words and apologizing..... almost all fighters coming up seem pressured to market themselves.... some are good at it... some arent.... he knows he's not walking into a Holloway fight....

It seems that Cyborg should win given her size. But, she has not faced the level of striker in Nunes before. If she can take Nunes' shots, she wins. But can she? She's got a lot of power, and probably has the best hands in women's MMA.
I knew to be leery... My system had Nunes rated pretty far ahead as well.. maybe there'll be a rematch

Very impressive. No one would have anticipated it being that conclusive.

Honestly not that big on the womens fights, but really got up for that one. Tremendous. Well done to her.

It was amusing hearing Joe talk up Cyborg's boxing skill just before the fight. Nunes is an extremely precise striker. Once she has you hurt, it's all kill shots.

From what I read it wasn’t voluntary but required if he wanted to fight in Cali after Nevada denied him a license.

I don’t think Novinsky has names any of the experts that he has spoken to though. The whole thing seems shady to me.

I have to think though the fact that Jones and his brothers have all pissed hot is very revealing. That he narced to get a lenient sentence would be IMO an admission of guilt and I wonder if this is part of the reason for USADA’s completely against policy stance. I understand that it’s metabolites and not traces of the drug that he is testing positive for but it only seems to have happened to Jones despite the large amount of fighters who have been caught in the past and have, after their suspensions continued to fight and test clean.

If you don’t believe the PEDs make a huge difference, compare the versions of Vitor.

Edit to add: I would also throw in the king of dopers Lance Armstrong’s stance as well given he knows more about doping than 99% of people.

Happy for the Nunes win, always been a fan. I honestly thought she hit hard enough to cause some problems but I figured that Cyborg would still win through stamina and size.

It was a brilliant fight from Nunes, the way she stood in the pocket, was able to make Cyborg miss and counter hard was so good to watch.

Would bang

Great stuff from Nunes. I'd love to see a rematch, too. Looks like that fight could have quite different results each time, but I favor Nunes in the striking game. She throws precise thunder.

Don't care one bit about Jones.
