I hadn't realized Cejudo/Dillashaw was a Fight Night. Insane this isn't a PPV headliner.
She insisted on fighting to prove a point. Straight up begged Dana after he pulled her from the card. She had a broken orbital among other injuries. Inspiring woman.Tinnie wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 16:24 Benavidez vs Ortiz is on the card too, not sure if that means they are hanging about to move up, or if they are just fighting out their contract obligation.
Kinda surprised to see Ostovich back so soon. Dont know the full extent of her injuries, but considering she was rushed to hospital and her husband was charged with attempted murder, i think its safe to assume it was a significant assault.
Listening to a bisping podcast the other day and he says jones is fumin with him for askin a questio about pissin hot again,he says fox have a list of questions they want them to ask and the one he asked was "if you failed the drugs test before this fight and you say it was from the test before isnt the one after this fight gonna fail too?" And jones skipped past it without answering it so bisping asked him again and he still ignored it but i think bisping is right,if he has failed then he will fail again. Ufc,usada and wada should ban him for life end of story, fckin drug cheatBaby Face Finster wrote: ↑01 Jan 2019, 17:44 Can Jones be considered the GOAT when he has been caught twice pissing hot? We don't know how diminished he might have been if he wasn't on peds.
Also, how soon, if at all, do you think he will be caught pissing hot again? Do you expect him to stay clean from here on out? I for one don't. If the testing agencies that test him are on the up and up I expect to hear he got caught yet again.
Inspiring indeed.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 16:45She insisted on fighting to prove a point. It seems like that not just in MMA but in boxing as well. I'm not sure what the judges are taught to look for but when they see things or score things radically different to trainers and fighters (and then use the excuse that the fighters/trainers don't have the same level of training as them for judging) there is a massive problem.Tinnie wrote: ↑09 Jan 2019, 21:20 Rogan had a good chat with Din Thomas on his podcast the other day. I'd actually forgotten about him, he was a great little fighter in his day. Now a trainer at ATT.... workers with Mike Perry and Amanda Nunez among others. Good to see he is still involved with mma.
At one time they were discussing the issue with scoring and judges.... Rogan recounts a fight where a fighter had his opponent locked in a kimura.... and a female judge turned to one of the other judges and asks what the fighter was trying to do.... I mean, that's just utterly ridiculous....
All judges referees etc etc should be past players or fighters in every sport, they know what to look for and how to score a fightp4p1 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2019, 01:10It seems like that not just in MMA but in boxing as well. Training of judges is clearly an issue in combat sports.
That's a terrible idea.thechump wrote: ↑10 Jan 2019, 07:13All judges referees etc etc should be past players or fighters in every sport, they know what to look for and how to score a fightp4p1 wrote: ↑10 Jan 2019, 01:10It seems like that not just in MMA but in boxing as well. No they won't!The Asleep Lamps wrote: ↑14 Jan 2019, 07:36 10 predictions for 2019. They will all come true except for Anthony Johnson.
It was subjective. I can see Dillashaw fans having issues with it. But Cejudo wasn't giving TJ any time to recover and TJ was looking like a bobble doll. TJ was on unsteady legs while arguing with the ref just after the stoppage.jujigatame wrote: ↑20 Jan 2019, 11:20 Thought it was an early stoppage. Cejudo's career has benefited from a lot of bad ref/judge decisions. And I still think it was total BS that DJ didn't get a rematch.
