Saw this about a year ago. This is what I wrote:

Cristian Mijares v Jorge Arce (Super flyweight title)

SF champ Mijares defends against Jorge Arce. Always liked Mijares' style, and when I saw the Arce fight was available I thought it would be something.

Round 1: 10-9 Mijares
Round 2: 10-9 Mijares
Round 3: 10-10 Even
Round 4: 10-9 Arce
Round 5: 10-9 Mijares
Round 6: 10-10 Even
Round 7: 10-9 Mijares
Round 8: 10-9 Mijares
Round 9: 10-9 Mijares
Round 10: 10-9 Mijares
Round 11: 10-9 Mijares
Round 12: 10-9 Mijares

Total: 119-111 Mijares (actual scores: 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111 all for Mijares)

Despite the one-sidedness in the scores, it was still a fun, competitive fight as Arce never stopped trying. Unfortunately for him, Mijares was just too sharp and too accurate for him and, although an accidental butt caused the cut on Arce's nose, there was never a doubt this was going to end up a bloodbath in the end. Indeed, Mijares' white trunks were pink at the end from Arce's blood. Again, one-sided in scores, but each round competitive. I enjoyed the fight.

I had some fights on VHS that I threw away recently starting with Barrera vs Morales 3, Spinks vs Judah 2, Castillo vs Corrales 1, Tszyu vs Hatton, Cotto vs Torres, Hatton vs Maussa, Mayweather vs Judah, Cotto vs Quintana, Taylor vs Pavlik, Mayweather vs Hatton, Hatton vs Pacquiao, Pacquiao vs Cotto, Martinez vs P Williams 2. And I think I had a Vic Darchinyan fight in there as well. :D

I watched Ali v Frazier 2 for the first time in decades. It was much better than I remembered, the only thing that spoilt it was Ali's constant holding. But I had him winning the fight nonetheless.

He was quite underated, Rothman and a tough guy. On that note, do like watching one of my favourites British fighters, of recent times (re-runs, granted).

Carl Thompson v Sebastian Rothmann

Loved Carl Thompson. A true warrior.

Rothmann always good value for money and he packed a lot of good names into a relatively short career.
He was on a hot streak against the Brits until Carl sorted him out.

Good shout :TU:

Dariusz Michalczewski v Mark Prince was a great fight and I remember I was pulling so much for Mark.

It wasn't to be, sadly.
