You didn’t score rounds 2 & 3 to Tony Bellew In that fight tonight?
Oh dear.
You don't seem to understand the point I am making.
Nevermind, opinions vary.

That's not really true.
Not a lot happened, the underdogs were a bit better than expected and nicked rounds.
Fighters as good as that aren't bothered to lose a few early rounds and often do.
:TU:

Part of it is the narrativising (I'm pissed, sorry) that goes on in professional sports entertainment: "This mush is an unbeatable monster blah blah blah" rather than like an accurate portrayal of the idiosyncrasies of the gifted mush in question & so when ssaid mush lets the other guy into the fight or starts slow (even if that's what he does/is a standard part of his gaemplan/is a considered thing to draw the other bloke's sting etc etc) the blowhard then has to go "STOP THE PRESSES! THE UNDERDOG IS ON TOP!!! COULD WE BE WITNESSINGA A PASSING OF THE TORCH?!?"

& I throw up a little in my mouth & die inside a little more.

All that hoopla gets in your head is what I think I'm trying to say, then you just end up going with it & you start believing in the like invested version of events the sports blowhard is presenting rather than watching it & thinking it through like you would if you were relying on your own judgement.

God, I'm drunk.

it was.....just reeked of him trying not to give usyk rounds

funny enough, during one time in between rounds smith was talking, and i could see froch next to him seemingly arguing with johnny nelson, who was sat behind

That's the influence of biased commentary

Yes, but people are scared to in case a loon gets in & scores like 90% of the rounds drawn like in Durán-leonard I, so it's "discouraged".

Which is obviously bullshit & means (as people think "you can't score a round drawn") people just wildly guess as to the winner of a close round & then you end up with weird, wildly divergent cards IMO.

Hope Usyk said he was very feel. Quite a likeable character but not sure he can hack it with the big lumps up at heavyweight.

ya i agree, i think its often the case where a round or two (especially by far the first round of fights) where the most appropriate score is defo 10-10

Exactly! Only Paulie knows how to read a fight.

The crowd played a part. Every 1 punch Bellew landed they roared.

Complete silence when it was the other way around.

It’s more amusing than I thought it would be!

Kid yourself all day,.Usyk basically took the piss

The only thing more embarrassing than that being apparently competitivehas to be Smith& Froch who are ATG terrible levels,so so so poor. It wasn’t remotely close, Usyk was barely interested. Can’t punch but switched bertie big bollocks off easy. Bellew full of shit. Usyk way above him as anyone with half a brain cell knew

I watched Dazn, they had Usyk up, refreshing to watch unbiased commentary.

Tony definitely still feeling that punch, kept repeating himself after the fight, and kissing Usyk as many times as he could
