Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
Problem he has ,, for the money he would want , theres no one he could command the big money from ,, Take AJ and Wilder away and Fury can't draw enough , Suppose i would pay to watch him fight a fit Ruiz ,, but that would only be if Ruiz had shed the weight ,, in which case that is'nt a tune up fight for Fury its a big risk .
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
I'm getting the feeling this is not happening.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
I hate when people put off very good fights for the dream of bigger fights.,If its there make it, if its not move on. Aj vs Fury should of tried to be made from the pulev fight to new-years, but then AJ should of booked usyk in for april or may and Fury have an interim fight.
Fury has been out a year, a tough year to train as well, and looks in pretty average shape right now. Id like him to get a tune up, you want em both primed and ready, If they fight in july and fury has been out 17 months over a pandemic then i dont think that is prime fury and thats a built in excuse. The bit of extra waiting means they will get more fans and a better atmosphere too.
problem is they have fucked around so long, its now almost to late for the interim fight option and they will be forced to chase AJ fury strait up even more, which may or may not end up happening. Also how fornicating long does usyk have to be WBO mandatory.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
He had his tune up fight lined up it did'nt happen , Me thinks the gypsy king is frightened someones gonna knock him of his self proclaimed throne . ,, People did'nt believe Hearn and AJ that it was Wilder making excuses , now they believe ,,,, Got a feeling there not gonna believe its Fury who backed out , when he does and he will .
Think theve relized Furys best and only 2 good wins were against , Klitchko , who was old and fought in survival mode , and AJ is'nt gonna be like that ,, and the other win was against 1 trick pony Wilder , who Fury could dominate with size and streght , and that is'nt gonna happen against AJ either .
Really don't think this fight is gonna happen now , and just like with his Dad and Theo , it won't be the other guy pulling out .

I think in my opinion that Anthony Joshua is going to better Tyson fury I'm not saying that Tysons not a good boxer but Anthony Joshua is just better and more well rounded as a fighter so I'm pulling for Joshua to win this 6th round tko

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
fury is the most-well rounded fighter stylistically at hw
outjabbed and moved wlad from outside
beat up and out bullied chisora inside with uppercut and body shot combinations
adjusted his approached and walked down ko king wilder, put him on the back foot, and beat him up
he can fight every style pretty much effectively, even vs guys who are among the best at those approaches, and can really do everything aside from having a major punch. he's also lot more fluid and natural in the ring than aj too. aj no doubt has the fire power to be a serious threat, but fury on his game has more tools and ways to win

I think that if the fight happens in somewhere like Saudi with a minimal crowd then it will favour AJ.
I think AJ would struggle if it was in the U.K. and there’s a mixed crowd reaction for him. Tyson would be in his element though.

Said it before, it would be extremely pro Fury.maverick23 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 04:49 I think that if the fight happens in somewhere like Saudi with a minimal crowd then it will favour AJ.

Bjs can't sell a ticket but look who got the crowd against Eubank.

I think it would be something like 60/40 in Fury’s favour. AJ’s never fought in anything resembling a hostile environment against him so even if it’s 50/50 then I think AJ would find that hard to take.mickey1975 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 06:38Said it before, it would be extremely pro Fury.maverick23 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 04:49 I think that if the fight happens in somewhere like Saudi with a minimal crowd then it will favour AJ.

At any uk venue the gypsy fans and working class lads will easily outnumber the AJ casuals. Overseas I think AJ is the bigger drawmickey1975 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 06:38Said it before, it would be extremely pro Fury.maverick23 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 04:49 I think that if the fight happens in somewhere like Saudi with a minimal crowd then it will favour AJ.

Fury has never sold out a big stadium in the UK, obviously this was before the reversal in Fury finding his own self worth and letting us all know about it. Which has seen his popularity sky rocket.

He's hardly fought in the UK since before Klitschko..Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 08:26 Fury has never sold out a big stadium in the UK, obviously this was before the reversal in Fury finding his own self worth and letting us all know about it. Which has seen his popularity sky rocket.

I actually think it's the other way round. Anthony Joshua's fans are more likely to buy ppv and turn up to stadium fights, but tyson fury fans would probably travel abroad for him.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
I don't think that has translated to ppv sales. Warren couldn't even guarantee the money for a December tune up tyson requested. If he's this big draw, they would've rolled the dice on a december ppv.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 08:26 Fury has never sold out a big stadium in the UK, obviously this was before the reversal in Fury finding his own self worth and letting us all know about it. AJ isn’t even PPV in the states. They rolled the dice with building him up out there....Blueprint wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 17:35I don't think that has translated to ppv sales. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
Interesting to see 'AJ casuals' getting thrown about. Amongst my mates who you could call casuals, or have no idea about boxing altogether, they all prefer Fury. I prefer AJ personally and would class myself as a hardcore boxing fan (as much as I hate that term
).
I was out in New York for the Joshua-Ruiz fight and there were 10,000 Brits out there. How many did Fury take on his American trips? Not seen any actual figures.

I’d say all actual evidence points to Joshua being miles more popular than Fury - ticket sales, social media following, earnings. It’s not even close tbh.

Yeah maybe. I fully admit to having no idea what’s popular and what isn’t these days, my finger hasn’t been on the pulse since 2003. So I could well be wrong.mickey1975 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2021, 11:19That was then, this is now.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑02 Mar 2021, 08:54 I’d say all actual evidence points to Joshua being miles more popular than Fury - ticket sales, social media following, earnings. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
Until he beats AJ, Fury doesn't sell big PPV numbers without a big name opponent. Then or now.mickey1975 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2021, 11:19That was then, this is now.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑02 Mar 2021, 08:54 I’d say all actual evidence points to Joshua being miles more popular than Fury - ticket sales, social media following, earnings. Probably beat AJ in the Wilder fight if you count UK and America.joshj909 wrote: ↑02 Mar 2021, 14:46Until he beats AJ, Fury doesn't sell big PPV numbers without a big name opponent.
