Surely Davison’s not trying to take credit for that? Let your fighter have his moment you egotistical prick.
Taylor was backing up in straight lines, getting tagged more & he was tiring a lot in the last two rounds. By any normal fighters standards it was still an incredible performance but by Josh Taylor’s standards he looked a lot better & fitter in the Prograis fight.

Stuck up for Davison in a few comments further up this thread but jumping straight on Twitter 20 minutes after your fighter has just become undisputed to have a sly dig at people isn’t gonna endear him to the boxing public

He should be having the time of his life with his fighter.
Whilst I don’t think he has any business been near elite fighters yet he obviously must have some talent but he’s a prick.
He’s incredibly lucky he’s Kinahan’s latest lap dog & that MTK have some world class fighters now. If he came on the scene 5 years ago he would’ve got Bradley Saunders & Thomas Stalker to train like Danny Vaughan did rather than Fury, Saunders & Taylor.

records for djs and all that, but in josh's case there's quality in there too

First of all WELL DONE TO TAYLOR it was a great fight and a good win by who could arguably be classed has Scotlands best ever boxer ,,Edge of the seat stuff , but the two knockdowns secured it a great great win by a great boxer in a tuff fight .
Regards Davidson though ,, fook him should'nt be allowed near a corner at that level ,, lets have it right he has taught Josh Taylor FOOK ALL ,,, ZILCH ,, ZERO ,,, NOTHING ,,, he's an ex olympian , already a world champ , and Davidson could'nt teach him anything ,,, Davidsons job is to manage his training he has conditioning coaches ect ect .
But Bens main job is to be a good cornerman and when you are in front looking real good BUT theres still 5 rnds to go YOU DON'T take your foot of the gas ,, Josh did , and lost 9-10- and 11 , possibly 12 , although i thought 12 was a drawn rnd , He went into safety mode ,,when the rnds were still available to pick up , doing that he got hit more and in a couple actually looked like he got hurt ..
For god sake , this was vegas , the home of blatant robberys , bad discisions , and Ben either told him or allowed him to take, rnds off,, judges had it 6 each which i agree with , but the knockdowns won it ,, but out of the 6 there could be a case they were close enough to go to Ram all depending how you score ,, and we all know the USA and Vegas , prefer the aggressor , which in the later rnds Ram was ,
Deserved victory , YES it was ,, well earned Victory yeas it was ,, but it was also a left to chance victory , after the last knock down and at least up yill rnd 10 , Josh still should'nt of been taking his foot of the gas ..
OK some may argue , that he may of been tired ,,, but guess what at that level 2 time world champ NO WAY should he be tired , , and if he was once agaion Davidsons fault he's the coach ,, great win but not Davidsons win , Josh should send Mcguigan a bottle of whisky

It scares the crap outta me
watching fighters coast the last few rounds.
The only guy able to do that in Vegas and guaranteed to get the nod was Floyd.

Its the Enzo Calzaghe situation.
A trainer probably best qualified to teach schoolboys at a local amateur boxing club. Who is very fortunate enough to have a great talented boxer to hide their lack of know how.
Well done to Taylor. Some big paydays if/when the young Teo/Tank/Haney/Garcia step up

Well done Taylor. Amazing achievement! Scotland’s greatest ever!
As for Davidson... Hahahahaha fair play to him . His tweet had the desired effect of triggering boxing’s ridiculously over sensitive fans lol. They are just so fickle, he was the best thing since sliced bread after fury vs wilder 1 in their eyes.
But what an achievement by Taylor, disgusting it wasn’t picked up by uk tv.

No, I enjoy watching them getting in a tizz. Going on about it being a mans sport then bitching like teenage girls just cos someone’s got a job.
It’s a funny sport to follow. There are constant untruths that are repeated over and over by fans/people in the industry. Like when a fighter has ‘nowhere to go’ yet lands big fight after big fight.
I struggle to think of any other sport that fans feel they “know” more. It’s like if someone has a differing opinion they are instantly labelled a casual. So snobby.

A great fight, boxing needs such.
It was close and the edge of Taylor was established because of those knockdowns, but because of them Taylor gave away some late rounds. Ramirez was always making it a fight, but Taylor was in control.
Taylor is a great boxer. High ring IQ, excellent footwork, fast hands, good defence, excellent timing. He can both box and fight. He cleaned up this division, which is very competetive now. He can easily be put in the middle of the p4p top 10 list. I'd put him on the 5th place.

Agree well done by Taylor
Regards over sensetive fans ,, Nope ,, were not over sensetive ,, just stating he's a peanut, get sick of him shoving his face everywhere , educating us with the obvious while he flicks his hair ,, Yet his corner work is rubbish ,, failed to see how to beat Wilder ,, claimed to be the one in control enough to stop the Saunders fight ,,, but if thats the case why did'nt he tell Saunders to stop ducking his head , Just allowed Taylor to fight the second half of the fight on cruise control , and lucky he did'nt crash .
And i've said he should'nt be training at this level since before the Wilder fight , he should be the assistant because his corner work is proving to be dismal and more luck because of the talent his boxers learnt elsewhere .
And yes your correct 100% that its disgusting UK tv did'nt pick it up

He is a bit of a posh boy, from Hertfordshire, but I think BJS was local and they got to know each other years back when Davison started hanging round the local gym.
