Re: Round-by-Round: Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook - 19 February 2022

i think ppl read far too much into brook's eye and overreatcd to his crawford loss. made ppl overlook that khan had basically been semiretired for the better part of the last 6 yearsBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:25 Honestly I just don’t see how anyone could have ever picked Khan in that fight, Brook would have battered him at any stage of their careers. Khan just can’t live with accurate guys.
He needs that fight to get up for ..Frostieballs wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:36 Imagine if Kell could have been that disciplined throughout his career.
Incredible condition. Credit to Dom.
Agreed , he has looked absolutely massive in time out of the ring .Frostieballs wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:36 Imagine if Kell could have been that disciplined throughout his career.

Yes…. Exactly. Shame he needs that to focus. He was a real force tonight.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:38He needs that fight to get up for ..Frostieballs wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:36 Imagine if Kell could have been that disciplined throughout his career.

This is so easy to say afterwards though isn’t it?margaret thatcher wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:34i think ppl read far too much into brook's eye and overreatcd to his crawford loss. made ppl overlook that khan had basically been semiretired for the better part of the last 6 yearsBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:25 Honestly I just don’t see how anyone could have ever picked Khan in that fight, Brook would have battered him at any stage of their careers. but ya, with brook's accuracy he'd be alwahys be nightmare for khan, it's the perfect counter to the speed
Liam Smith might do another big crowd. Would be a good fight.maverick23 wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:43 Will be interesting to see what Brook does next. I don’t want to see him try and get down to 147 again and I don’t want to see him against Eubank at 160 either (although I’d be ok if they met at something like 155/156).
That leaves 154 which isn’t a sexy division worldwide at the moment and the only big domestic fight is Smith which would be a good one but not a massive PPV like the Eubank fight would.
This is hardly an example of pretending to be ‘wise after the fact’ though, surely it’s been obvious for years and years? Pretty sure Khan always knew it too.Delta Jay wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:42This is so easy to say afterwards though isn’t it?margaret thatcher wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:34i think ppl read far too much into brook's eye and overreatcd to his crawford loss. made ppl overlook that khan had basically been semiretired for the better part of the last 6 yearsBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:25 Honestly I just don’t see how anyone could have ever picked Khan in that fight, Brook would have battered him at any stage of their careers. Timing beats speed and AK has lost a bit of his speed and was always the smaller man.
I enjoyed that a lot though
He looked really flat as well. The missus said he looked like he didn’t want to be there during his walk to the ring.Kilburn wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:49 Khan didn't look especially shot to me, he just looked like a fighter who couldn't keep a bigger, marauding opponent off him.
Brook surely cannot retire after that. He looked as good as he ever has before. Not a hint of vulnerability about him once the action started..
I'm just struggling to see what a not-shot version of Khan would have been able to do differently, against the Brook that turned up tonight.Frostieballs wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:53He looked really flat as well. Maybe it was only then he realised wtf he had done!
Just said that to a mate. However he was barely able to throw a combination. That was his game, lightening fast combosKilburn wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:55I'm just struggling to see what a not-shot version of Khan would have been able to do differently, against the Brook that turned up tonight.Frostieballs wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:53He looked really flat as well. He was'nt allowed to ,, Brook just stayed on him and threw with him , negated any speed Khan had left and was simply too striongblanca wrote: ↑19 Feb 2022, 19:56Just said that to a mate.
