Davison needed to tell Itauma to take it easy and just try and take a points win. His stamina was always going to be his weakness, so when he couldn't stop him after 5/6 then he should have just taken it easier. He played into Hrgovic's hands

How many of you won money of big Phil??
At 2,000/1 odds I had £10 on Hrgovic to win between 10-12, Cameron to beat Mayer on points, then Narmo to beat Nysa by KO. Missed the main event by a round and thought that big scandi could knock out the old man.

They’re trying to get him on a stretcher..
Probably can’t even walk

His stamina is incredibly bad. I can't believe they were prepared to put him in with anyone on the back of beating Franklin.

They will claim some leg injury or somthing for sure… there might even be one (I didn’t see anything) but he didn’t lose because of it…. If there is a leg injury he got it cause he was so gassed his muscles couldn’t support his weight safely.

I can see Itauma doing a Haye v Thompson & running out of steam later on.
OK, I'm claiming that

Not the end of Moses, big jump up in class and not many rounds under his belt. Maybe similar to Haye getting stopped by Thompson.
Very similar
Stretchered off??!! What the f*ck

It was Exhaustion. Plain and simple. Absolute and complete exhaustion. He was about to faint.

No ill feeling towards Hrgovic whatsoever. But that was not a fantastic performance from him.
I don’t expect him to keep that belt for long.

I had a great win. Hrgovic straight win and a stoppage 7-9
Happy days, i thought it was Way too soon and Hrg could supset the script, should have gone with my instincts, started watching too many YouTubeers and it put me off.

With someone that we all knew had an iron chin like Hrgovic as well

All these people saying take it easy and pace yourself.
Slow Phil would have been in the fight earlier if he had IMO.

He'll defend against Sanchez next. Not going to be a fight with fireworks like this one.

That was incredible I've never seen a fighter unravel so quickly, Itauma was excellent, started off fast landing hard clean left hands and right hooks, it was hard to tell what his most dangerous shot was, Hrgovic has a cast iron chin, the shots just.boujcjed off him, Itauma scored a flash knockdown in the 2nd, it was great to watch, Itauma moving up and down the gears, mixed up the pace well for most part, the straight lefts to the body pushing Hrgovic back, Hrgovic started was showing he was dangerous but Itauma had a strong 8th looked like he was upping it but he gassed out rapidly, still I didn't see the wheels come off so fast, Itauma was passing the chin check but his engine emptied like I've never seen and before you knew it Hrgovic was clubbing Itauma until it was stopped,.. we knew this script was a possibility but to see Itauma capitulate like that was staggering

Now we know why itauma was padded and kept in the stable. Hype job
I think hype job is a bit harsh. He was arguably boxing the best iv seen someone box for 4 rounds. Would of stopped nearly everyone…
But experence matters.

Hrg has some chin, those shots would've felled the majority of HWs. Itauma needs to pace himself and realise that not every punch needs to be a KO shot. Those missed swings were probably taking as much out of him as any shots coming back. Hope he's OK, he looked like a drunk guy swinging punches outside a bar in that last round.
Credit to Hrg, he took his lumps throughout and came back when needed.

He'll be alright. Oxygen mask. IV Fluids. He'll be good as new.
Literally something similar just happened to me medically, it's just I wasn't being punched at the time.
