Given how sloppy Fury looked against a big, powerful and inexperienced guy in Ngannou, he should perhaps be thankful the fight against AJ never happened last year.
The leaning on and sapping the strength of a guy with twig legs tactics doesn't work with everyone.

I think the forum will genuinely be happy for Fury if wins or draws, or pushes Usyk to the wire. I just think the most likely outcome would be a terrible loss where it will feel like all the Fury hype was a bit of a mirage. Obviously it is interesting to see if Fury can pull a rabbit out of the hat so to speak. The omens aren’t exactly good though - a bad last performance. Taking beach holidays and looking portly mid-camp. It feels a bit unlikely this will go well for him.

I just offered my views that Fury didn't look good against the inexperienced Ngannou, a guy of similar size and strength to AJ, that the tactics Fury used to wear down the smaller and physically weaker Wilder did not work, and that may well have been a blessing that he never actually fought AJ as AJ might well have mullered him.
So everyone needs to have the same view as you or else you cry like a little girl? :maybe:

As for you proclaiming to be a boxing fan, 99% of your posts are repetitive bitching posts about AJ or Usyk, or ones crying if anyone dares criticise Fury.(latest example above)
You are a troll, and not a very good one at that. :TU:

Just for the sake of variety, why don't we discuss the fight itself.

How do you see it playing out?

Usyk moves a lot in round one and loses it. Round 2 - 9, Usyk lands clean and often, winning six of the first nine. Usyk takes rounds 10 off, then rallies in 11 & 12 to win a clear decision or a stoppage in the last.

What was that film where the boxer ends up going on a bit of a binge, ends with a belly, but wins the title fight.

Must of been around the mid 90s.

Blimey.

EDIT

The Great White Hype. That's it.

Fury to blubble his way around and somehow win. Pot belly and all.

There’s a “boxing fan” posting on here most days claiming the fight won’t happen. The fact that Fury is in the first ever World heavyweight 4 belt unification fight is definitely hurting some on here.

Mmmm , I guess that might be ME , whats more with only weeks to go , i'll say again that i don't think the fight will happen, . HOWEVER i will be very very and VERY disapointed if it does'nt ,, i've actually got 3 fights on my wish list
1----- Fury --AJ
2 Bert ----Bivol
3 Fury --- Usyk

IN that ORDER , whats more i'll be veryt disapointed if any of them don't happen ,,, and i am prepared to be disapointed in FEbuary , via a Fury Pullout --- BUT ---- HOPE I'M WRONG
The no.1 fight on your wish list should have happened last year. The fact that you criticize Fury so much shows that you don’t think rationally.

Come on Doofy. Can you at least agree that the 2nd AJ offer from TF had a ridiculous time constraint on it.
“He’s match fit “ doesn’t really work does it?

and if you think so, it is a bit hypocritical after the minor scratches Fury got after his life and death with 40 yr old debutant, Francis.

A little bit of humbleness would go a long way with us in “the knitting circle”. BTW. Tom Daley reckons AJ KO2 Fury.

The facade is coming to an end. Thank goodness!!!

I think it's a point at infinity. ;-)
Jai Opetaia is 28 years old and he is the Champion.
David Nyika is 28 years old and has done nothing still, absolutely nothing.

Could be a natural (Aus v NZ) in a couple of years time if Opetaia is still the boss at cruiser and Nyika's reached a level where a challenge for a title is within his grasp.

I'm not sure Opetaia will still be at CW in two years.
I highly doubt that Nyika will ever become a title challenger.

The "time constraint" was the excuse for the previous offer. Joshua's team just ignored this one.
