Indeed, but Mayweather would suck as a heavyweight as well.
What are you on about?
That there's a 20% weight difference between a top heavyweight and a top cruiserweight.
That's the difference between a welterweight and a light heavyweight.
That's like a super welterweight against a cruiserweight.
That's like Terence Crawford vs a prime David Haye, or a prime Mayweather vs Sergey Kovalev.
You can't compare that, you can't take it serious, there is a massive leaguedifference between a top cruiserweight and a top heavyweight.
Klitschko told everybody Haye actually never deserved a shot against Klitschko for a reason.

On a serious note, Shane McGuigan is going to end up with all sorts of jpint problems if he spends too much time padding Haye. Seeing him yesterdsy, that guy still whacks. He'd bang Joshua out quick style if they fought within 24 months IMO. Less than three rounds.

I think Joshua would be all wrong for Haye, taller, rangier, quicker hands, and a massive puncher.
Haye would struggle to get near him before he got iced in my opinion. He's always been the type who preferred keeping it long, and we saw against Wlad, that when he's giving away significant height and reach, he's not effective - Valuev was different as he was so slow, that Haye was able to time him and land JUST enough to get the result.

I know what you mean but I don't think Joshua is a sophisticated fighter. Haye would be too smart and too powerful. Only Haye and Ortiz trouble Fury for me - on the basis he's knocked the fight out of WK.

AJ has quicker hands than Haye?

Not as quick as Haye I wouldn't say. Haye would certainly test his defence. He's quick, elusive and would be looking for angles. He didn't manage to get to Wlad or push him back but he could possibly trouble AJ with his movement I reckon. It really could just be a case of who landed first. Kind of wish this was happening next!

I have to admit, after seeing the Haye public workout, Haye possesses a lot of everything Joshua is yet to face. He's the genuine problem in the heavyweight division to Joshua in my opinion, and can definitely see it going either way. I don't think Fury would last 5 rounds with Joshua (if it even ever would happen). Fury has the skill, but don't believe he has the speed or power to put Joshua down (or avoid AJ for 12 rounds for the decision).

the thing is, Haye's shots tend to be looping, rarely does he throw straight rights or lefts, Joshua's big power shot seems to be the straight right, which is obviously a straight shot, which gets to the target quicker. With a longer a reach that means that it's hard for Haye to get his own shots to the target.

I hope I can finally get that time machine of mine working, whip back to the summer of 96' and suggest to Gary McAllister that he just whacks in down the middle.
Tyrone Spong just said he was willing to fight, now it's just waiting for Nick Webb, if Webb dares.

Good point, I remember thinking Haye looked so predictable vs Wlad, his speed was not a factor at all because he had so much ground to cover with both the reach and height discrepancy and the looping shots. He did catch Wlad with the two best punches of the fight (in the third and 12th rounds) but that's all he did. Joshua in terms of actual speed of punch may not be as fast as Haye but his shots will get there sooner and he will won't need to rely on as accurate footwork making him quicker for all intents and purposes.

The fight doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Why pay someone to fly over here? It's never happening

It would be an exiting fight, let's see who's the real deal of the two.
Do you really think a fly ticket is a problem? Lol, people just want to see a good fight, this could be a good fight, but it's understandeble if Nick Webb indeed doesn't dare.

Haye is not even as quick as he used to be.
He's no slouch, but since he came in heavy against the last daffodil he knocked over, it looked to have robbed him of some of his speed.
He also intimated that coming in heavy is the new him, so don't expect him to get any quicker.
He might still be quicker than Joshua, but not by such a significant margin these days.

As expected, Briggs his fight is much more interesting and fun to watch as Daffy his fight. I think Dimetrenko would beat David Price, as well as anyone Hughie Fury ever fought.

Dimitrenko is saying he has not had an offer from Haye to fight Briggs and is threatening to get laywers involved, he tweeted this less than 24 hours ago saying no offer received to fight Briggs.
Quite funny response from a guy when Dimitrenko said I am not fighting Briggs, some guy replied you probably are mate, you just don't know it yet.

Any idea on tv for this yet, its the same night as Wilder / Povetkin on B-allegedly but that should be done and dusted by early evening shouldn't it?
Saying all that I think I might be going to a show in Dudley that night so might miss it all anyway!
