Tyson is looking in great physical shape, how he is performing in sparring noone knows except a rumour that he decked Joyce.

Wilder is the sort of guy who never looks out of shape, but again noone knows what is happening in the gym.

If gym stories were believed then AJ wouldn't be a British champion let alone world with all the times he's been KOd

Seems wilder still favourite according to posters on here. I wonder if that's changed at all after seeing the shape fury is in and training videos etc

I was just thinking that Roach is a good choice, seeing as he's one of the few yanks picking Fury in the build-up and is a brilliant trainer. But yeah, wee Stu is right: surely he's not been given the ideal job?

I picked Fury by stoppage from the start and I won't be changing it.

I picked Wilder by ko from the start, and I won’t be changing my mind.

Of course, I also picked Wlad by ko against Fury, so I’m quite happy to be completely wrong again

Fury is as ready as he’s going to be. He’s completely switched on. It’s good John isn’t there and they’ve got Freddie in the corner. He’s forgotten more than most about LA fight nights.

Talking about corners- I’ve always been HUGELY impressed with Mark Breland in TEAM Wilder.

Freddie Roach is a great coach, but he has loads of people in that gym. He’s spreading himself thin with a lot of fighters.

Having Breland around as often as he does is a huge plus for Wilder.

I think it's a really smart move. My main concern previously was Ben's inexperience if the fight goes into deep water.

Do you think there's the possibility of too many voices in the corner?

If he has the reported Freddie & Ricky Hatton on top of his trainer then possibly. But it all depends on what there roles are. Maybe it isn't fury asking, but Davidson asking for advice on how they see the fight and what they suggest.

This is what Davidson's 4th fight as a pro trainer in the corner? And it is one of the biggest fights in the last 5 years. He is potentially in deep water, so asking for Freddie is possibly giving him a life raft.

Just noticed tickets pop up on Facebook on wowcher with or without flights and 3 nights accommodation £1000. (w/ Flights)

Really pulling for Tyson here but it’s a big worry they have left Big Bear so early. And while Roach is obviously a fountain of knowledge one wonders the reason for wheeling him in this late in the camp. Am literally being torn in my mind on a daily basis between either Fury boxing his head clean off and making him look a ding and Tyson getting stopped after pulling some stupid shoulder roll type defensive move in the corner.

Same. I think the latter is the likely conclusion but I'll be rooting for Big Fury. He's gonna need to be fit as a fiddle and neither of his last 2 fights proved he is... he looked ponderous in the last one. He's gonna need to be constantly on the move, no taking breaks, no leaning on the ropes for long

12 Things You Didn’t Know About Deontay Wilder

Early Life

A young Deontay dreamed of becoming an NFL player as a wide receiver but the birth of his daughter with spina bifida issues forced him to stay nearby and focus on a boxing career instead. He told his daughter, now a teenager, when he started boxing that he would become a world champion and he fulfilled his promise. He has even written a children’s book about it to inspire them to follow their dreams. He plans to write more children’s books because he loves kids and being a father.



Anything Worth Having…

To support his young family, he worked at IHOP, AI-Three Company (Mercedes company), Red Lobster and Budweiser, whilst working his way up as an amateur boxer. His delivery driving job for Budweiser meant that he had to get up at 5am every morning lift a thousand cases of beer onto his truck, which he considered to be his early morning workout before hitting the gym later after his shift was over.



Late Starter

Wilder only started boxing in 2005 when he joined Skyy Boxing Gym in Northport, Alabama, aged 20. Just two years later, he beat the favourites to win both the National Golden Gloves and the US Championships and earned a place on the American Olympics team after just 21 bouts!



The Stats

Wilder’s amateur career finished at an impressive 30-5. His pro career is currently at 40-0 with a whopping 39 KOs. He is 33-years-old, 6ft 7in in height with an 83in reach.



The Bronze Bomber

As an amateur, he won a bronze medal in the heavyweight division at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, which led to his nickname becoming ‘The Bronze Bomber’, which Wilder coined from his idol Joe Louis, who was known as ‘The Brown Bomber’.



The Saviour

Deontay ended the longest period of time in the history of American heavyweight boxing without a champion – nine years. He succeeded American heavyweight champions Shannon Briggs (WBO) and Hasim Rahman (WBC) by winning the WBC belt in 2015 on the same day as his idol Muhammed Ali’s birthday – January 17.



KO Artist

He has a fearsome 39 KOs from 40 fights and is a two-time winner of the Premier Boxing Champions Knockout of the Year Award in 2016 and 2017.



History in the Making

He is the 15th longest reigning champion of all-time and has the ninth longest combined and individual title streaks in heavyweight history.



Personal Life

Deontay Leshun Wilder has three children – two daughters and a son – with Jessica Scales-Wilder but are now divorced. His new fiancée Telli Swift, with whom he has another child with, was featured on American reality TV show WAGS Atlanta.



Talent Runs in the Family

His younger brother, Marsellos, is also an unbeaten professional boxer operating in the cruiserweight division and has similar traits to his older sibling having knocked out both of his opponents in the first round. The 29-year-old next fights on the undercard of Wilder-Fury on December 1.



Ink Life

Wilder loves a tattoo or two! He likes to inscribe his life stories on his body in ink and even has a tattoo of the WBC title on his thigh.



Giving Back

When his local Coffeyville High School was closed down, Wilder saw it as an opportunity to help the community by turning it into a boxing gym and also gives up his time to help teach the kids.
