Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
The only blokes I have heard of being paranoid about contamination have either got caught or look dodgy.
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
To be fair most boxers are paranoid about that kind of thing because it is pushed onto them so much if something is in yr system its yr fault regardless how it got there.
At the end of Eggingtons fight with Malignaggi one of Paulies cornerman(pete who has since become a friend )gives Sam a drink of water and you can see sam rushing over to me motioning and then spitting the water somewhere because he didnt want to swallow it just in case.
Sam has been tested loads and the testers make you think about stuff like that telling you not to drink from anything unopened etc as if theres something in it its yr fault

What's testing like these days? I can only talk about when I was an undercard fighter in the 90's, and it was non existent..jonp wrote: ↑31 Jul 2019, 15:46 To be fair most boxers are paranoid about that kind of thing because it is pushed onto them so much if something is in yr system its yr fault regardless how it got there.

Eggeton obv has been fighting at championship level, was he only tested for championship fights?
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Yeah all championship fights are tested
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Big problem is in US - NY/Vegas aside the testing is non existent unless for major fights. Fighters loaded with gear must be rife - UKAD have failings but they check loads of British fighters randomly - there’s nothing like that in the US.Coco wrote: ↑31 Jul 2019, 16:16What's testing like these days? In title fights you get tested a lot and once yr in that kind of place you get the random testing a fair bit as well.Coco wrote: ↑31 Jul 2019, 16:16What's testing like these days? Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Interesting comments on the gloves earlier. Ortiz often wears gloves to pre-fight press also

Same. That’s just an excuse. What’s he afraid he might get some dirt in his finger nails?oogiebe wrote: ↑31 Jul 2019, 15:01I always thought the gloves were part of Dill's 'thug' aura.Controversial wrote: ↑31 Jul 2019, 14:56 Hearn was on Talk Sport saying that he doesn't believe Whyte cheated but if he is guilty he should be banned. He went on to say that Whyte is paranoid about being contaminated and wears gloves to his press conferences to stop any contamination, I just checked out the pre-fight presser with Rivas and Whyte was indeed wearing gloves.
Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
i always thought they wore gloves because they didnt want to catch any germs....colds, the flu, sick bugs etc.
close to fight time when they are making weight etc the body's immune system must be vulnerable to catching stuff, so i assumed it was just a further precaution.

Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
i understand that heavyweights dont need to get down to a specific weight, but almost all other boxers have to weigh in at much lower weights than their natural healthy everyday weight.....whats difficult to understand about that?

Maybe the "huh" was because Whyte is in fact a HW.. So he doesn't need to make weight. What's he gonna catch.

I believe the correct term is 'man-whore'

I think they are brothers, I seen him called Lemar Scott, Lemar Scott Whyte and also Dean Whyte. As someone else said they are likely half brothers.

Exactly.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Aug 2019, 03:48Maybe the "huh" was because Whyte is in fact a HW.. So he doesn't need to make weight. What's he gonna catch.
We are not talking about lower weight fighters, we are specifically tallking about the behavior of Dillian Whyte, so what is the relevance of anyone else.

Funny how Sky sports have how come out nd said Whyte passes vada before and after the fight.
But they didn’t initially mention he failed UKAD. Getting smart people on Facebook saying it’s all to protect Wilder. Why would UKAD protect wilder? UKAD are corrupt anyway.

So UKAD presumably conduct more stringent tests than VADA? Or it's a mistake? I'm still none the wiser.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Aug 2019, 13:30 Funny how Sky sports have how come out nd said Whyte passes vada before and after the fight.

Re: Dillian Whyte Tests Positive For Banned Substance
Passing VADA and failing UKAD is similar to not speeding past one speed camera and speeding passed another. Those highlighting that he passed VADA as proof of his innocence are stupid. Even if he is innocent they are still stupid for using that argument.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Aug 2019, 13:30 Funny how Sky sports have how come out nd said Whyte passes vada before and after the fight.
