Khan didn't look especially shot to me, he just looked like a fighter who couldn't keep a bigger, marauding opponent off him.
Brook surely cannot retire after that. He looked as good as he ever has before. Not a hint of vulnerability about him once the action started..
He looked really flat as well. The missus said he looked like he didn’t want to be there during his walk to the ring.
Maybe it was only then he realised wtf he had done!
He knew what he was doing. One last big payday, win or lose. He’s getting the lions share of PPV’s.
He can retire now. Focus on his celeb status, finish off his wedding hall etc.

Brook was the fornicating boss in there tonight. He knew. Same scenario anytime from 2010- brook much too good. Invested loads in tonight. Khan played a side, waited till kell slid, but kell kept his composure. Get the fornicate in.
Re: Round-by-Round: Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook - 19 February 2022
I'm just struggling to see what a not-shot version of Khan would have been able to do differently, against the Brook that turned up tonight.
Just said that to a mate. However he was barely able to throw a combination. That was his game, lightening fast combos
He was'nt allowed to ,, Brook just stayed on him and threw with him , negated any speed Khan had left and was simply too striong
I still think a few years ago it would be a harder fight for kell. That handspeed khan had would have caused kell more problems. It was gone, kell had nothing to worry about. Would have been same ending but much more of a contest

Well done to Kell, bossed it from the first bell - he must be a very happy man tonight.
I don’t think tonight gives us any clues though as to how much he has left, if anything. He did as he pleased with the quite shockingly shot Khan but anyone even vaguely serious might give him a painful reality check if he fights on.

Yeah, I'd say Khan's window of opportunity was straight after Golovkin's damage, had it been him instead of Spence.

Basing any assessment of how Khan-Brook would have gone during their prime on tonight’s fight is ludicrous in my opinion.

Happy for Kell, bossed it in there tonight but I'm not sure where he goes next if he wants to carry on, hard to say how much he has left against a fighter still in or around their prime but glad he got the job done. I'd lean towards him calling it a day but he'll probably have another fight I reckon, surely not at 147 though.

Time for both men to call time.
Well done kell, but no need to continue.

Will be interesting to see what Brook does next. I don’t want to see him try and get down to 147 again and I don’t want to see him against Eubank at 160 either (although I’d be ok if they met at something like 155/156).
That leaves 154 which isn’t a sexy division worldwide at the moment and the only big domestic fight is Smith which would be a good one but not a massive PPV like the Eubank fight would.
Liam Smith might do another big crowd. Would be a good fight.
If it was in the 'pool. Not a 50/50 though. Brook may have looked good against Khan, but that was a shell of Khan.

kell vs eubank at 160 would be a great fight i think. Kell is huge, dont think he is much smaller than eubank.

Anyone think they got their money worth?
I skipped it and listened in on the radio, mostly because of all the missmatches on the undercard.
Going by the poll, hardly anyone actually paid for it.

Kell Brook bossed it from round 1 rocked Khan in nearly every round,I don't know why sky are saying it was a classic and a real tear up,it was a one sided beat down.

Here's an 11 minute "highlight" package.
Personally I gave up watching it 3 minutes in. Sad.

Khan looked totally shot, he shouldn't have been in the ring really could not take a punch anymore.
Not sure Brook looked that great either, I wouldn't want to see him in with Eubank or any world level welters.
Agree

SKY made a money grab. Did their best ti keep selling the fight even after it was clear Khan was never there.
Khan will have known too.

You would think so. I mean he had to have been on new born deer legs in sparring even with the head gear

Khans team must’ve know he was shot to hell from the camp, cause he was gone baby gone,
He looked like a ghost on his way to the ring - like he suddenly knew what was coming, it reminded me of what Larry Holmes said went through his mind on his way to the ring to take on Tyson: oh shit what have I got myself into here ? I knew my slightly optimistic bet had gone up the swanny right there.
There’s presumably no way Kell retires now, big pay days loom large.

Nice beatdown as expected. Brook is quite worn, but Khan is simply fragile like glass. There was some intensity, while Brook was setting the target. Khan had some success due to his speed early on, yet the inevitable has come.

i don't think brook will punch hard enough to trouble eubank , will definitely out box him but can see eubank taking him out ,if they got eubank to a catch weight and drain him abit will stand a better chance , like others have said i'd like to see both retire very classy from khan

Khan must be gutted that Covid hit.
He had a nice sideline in taking easy fights for big cash in Saudi Arabia.

Undoubtedly so. Those first two rounds were electric. Both of them went at it with zero feeling out. Thought Brook was plodding the more it went on but Khan's punch resistance let him down, he was boxing fairly well but took some serious shots that had him all over the place.
A poll on here doesn't mean that much, I would think the PPV numbers will be big. Everyone was talking about the fight, it really crossed over. Khan's interview in his dressing room afterwards was pure class, got to love the guy for that. His career caught up with him and he didn't make any excuses. As for Brook, the door is open to another fight.
Sky did a brilliant job with this, showing all the press conferences, gloves are off. The weight in coverage meant that although the undercard was weak, I knew a bit about who the fighters were so was interested.
All in all, a good night's boxing and well worth the money.
