You know all these debates from the same people..

It’s the same debates from the same people on other threads.

There’s never gonna be any agreement.

Give it a rest lads.

Let’s talk about the two fighters and how we see it going.

Both failed to earn the respect of Franklin in their previous bouts.

I just can’t get interested in it.
Can't blame you really. It is nothing more than a consolation prize fight.

Anything less than AJ inside three would have to be classed a disappointment. Whyte looked shot to pieces against Franklin.

I'd pick Franklin to edge out current Chisora. He had decent hand speed, put his punches together quite well, and appears to be quite sturdy. He was an unknown quantity before he fought Whyte and then Joshua, but might reveal a bit more of his ability if he gets another matchup with a name fighter.

He just needs to uppercut him and then illegally push him over like Fury did.

Oh, yes, did you have Whyte leading on points at the time, too...? AJ was becoming known for hitting on the break, after the bell etc before he went gunshy so should have no problem employing those tactics again if he has found his balls.

Whyte was losing but it was an illegal push that finished it. Whyte, of course, was knocked out stone cold by Povetkin not than long before he boxed Fury.

Given that Whyte had already been knocked out by uppercuts from AJ and Povetkin, Fury was wise to use the uppercut. A shame about the illegal push afterwards.

I never even mentioned the Fury fight. He looked done against JF and AJ should do him early.

AJ by knockout in the first 6 rounds is value 4.50 means a bit on that for me.… if Both come out timid there’s a chance it goes longer, but I honestly thought that would even money not 4.50..

I figure if the fight goes longer than 6 rounds that Joshua is going to be in a world of hurt come December unless Wilder's inactivity at nearly 40 years old is going to greatly affect him.

Wilder will be 38 this October. I'm rounding up.

I remember a time when 37-38 was considered ancient by boxing standards. Foreman was that age when he made his comeback in 1987.

I think he's thinking that a victory over Whyte here could be a springboard into a Wilder/Joshua matchup.

I hope he's right about that. That's the best Heavyweight fight of this era we haven't gotten.

Most intriguing one anyway.

The Saudis basically have said that as long as Joshua doesn't lose then the Wilder fight is a guarantee. I'm just saying if Fury could take Whyte out in six rounds, and if it goes longer than that then Joshua is going to be in trouble. It took him 8 rounds years ago and he should be able to stop Whyte somewhere between rounds 4 and 6 or at least that's my expectation since Povetkin and Fury did that.

Have I got it right, if you do not subscribe to DAZN
… AJ v Whyte will cost:

£26.99 for AJ v Whyte
Plus
£10.99 for a month’s subscription

Total

£37.98

Ffs how the **** is that worth it?

I think he will go in with the intention of Blasting Whyte out but may go into survival mode after receiving a few licks and win a wide UD.

It's not worth it, I'd be seriously pissed off if I was a subscriber and then have to pay that on top. Trouble is the money these guys command these days in order to fight is so high I guess it's the only way they can make the fight happen. If Whyte is getting over £3m AJ must be getting 4 times that, hell of a lot of money to come up with.

Looks like The Mirror sports journalist Andy Dunne has turned on Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua, especially the Joshua vs Whyte fight and the PPV price.

I do like this part:-

''If you pay £26.99 to watch Joshua against Whyte on your telly, you are being ripped off. And if you are a fan of one of THE greatest sporting battling grounds - world heavyweight boxing - you are being short-changed.''

just grateful that I will see a couple of HW fights next month .
May not be the ones we wanted but clearly the fighters who actually want to box are geetting on with it whilst fury and wilder are procrastinating - says it all .
