I know. I don't understand it at all. All I can come up with is the bookies just looking at the fight and going 'LOLZ FURY IS BIG SO WLAD MIGHT WIN ON POINTS'.

I'm not convinced on the inside 6 rounds though, I think Fury might ride his luck and make it to around 8 before being caught. Reason being Wlad is so often content to just fire off the jab and keep the right hands to a minimum. There's a good chance he will coast and just 'Be Wlad'.

Even if I lump on I will be pretty ecstatic if Fury beats him though. Would be well worth the price of admission to see the Octopus roughed up on the inside and stopped.

Fury seems to be one of those fighters whos chinny for first two rounds and then his chin looks quite solid though.

Everyone thought Wlad-Haye was nailed on to end in a stoppage because they can both bang and both have dodgy whiskers...

This fight is hard to gauge because I'm not sure how Tyson will try to fight. Get up close on the inside where Wlad doesn't like it? Stay at range for a battle of the jabs? Switch-hitting?

Arnfield - I think he gets stopped by Blackwell. Just watched him Vs Renda! He won't go the distance

I thought about this too but the difference is Haye was defensively very good, he didn't run like a lot of people think, he fought off the back foot showing sharp reflexes and head movement. it helped him a lot obviously that defence was his primary focus as he hardly threw anything. Fury on the other hand is going to barge in at some point and get into a tearup, but he's too cumbersome to land anything really major, he doesn't have much in the way of defensive nous and (i can't believe I'm saying this) I don't think he even hits hard enough to put a dent in Wlad.

What price is Tyson to get DQ'd? He is a hugely unstable man and things could get on top of him if it's not going his way. If Wlad is getting away with all sorts at the same time... He threw the rule book out of the window against Cunningham.

Best price 4/9 which isn't that great.

Keep an eye on paddypower 'power plays' this weekend. They moved 2 horses from 4/5 to 3/1 today and both won. Even if they never won that's good value if opposing bookies are sticking

Surely Fury has more pride though and will go out on his shield? Fury carries his hands too low and is too slow on his feet to evade a right hand from Wlad. He will be out before 8 I reckon.

My bets are that I've done are.

Rep of Ireland to beat Bosnia-Herzegovina @ 6/4

Arthur Abraham to beat Martain Murray @ 4/5

Arthur Abraham to beat Martain Murray @ 4/5 double with BJS to beat Lee @ 11/10

BJS to beat Lee @ 11/10

Lee Haskins to beat Randy Caballero @ 6/1

Wladimir Klitschko to beat Tyson Fury rounds 1-4 @ 13/2

France to beat England @ 15/8 Although this bet doesn't feel right anymore.

Isn't it very hard to guess correct Odds for a boxing fight? in betting you win Long term if the Odds of winning is better than the payout you get (for example if the fight is 50:50 you Need more than 2 Dollars payout for 1 Dollar invested (one Dollar gain) to make Profit.

however unlike Baseball or Football you only have very small sample sizes. usually a fighter only fights a guy once per career and even an indirect Rating (like the Football Points table) is really hard to do.

so what are the chances of a bum beating Joshua or leapai beating klitschko? obviously there is always a Chance (even I could win against AJ if he twists his knee and tears his ACL in the first 2 seconds of the fight - but that Chance is like 1 in a Million) but what is that Chance?

and even Close fights are very hard to predict. what is a true 50:50 fight?

if you know boxing you can probably predict the winner pretty well but telling the exact Odds of that Happening is really hard.

It's all subjective, all sports betting is, it's not like certain casino games where the exact probability is known.

PaddyPower's odds compiler believes BJS vs Andy Lee is 50/50 in the truest sense as he priced their market 10/11 both fighters, though the consensus of the market as a whole is leaning towards the champion retaining his belt as some firms are showing 11/10 for BJS.

Bets for this weekend:
Canelo Alvarez Round 10-12 @ 10/1.
Anthony Crolla by Decision or Technical Decision @ 11/10.

Really can't make my mind up on Abraham vs Murray, whatever I decide I'll probably put in a double with Crolla. Anyone betting on it?

Anybody else think Canelo is a great bet at 3/1 to beat Cotto by KO? Sportingbet closed me down long ago and I've already bet as much as both Hills and VC will allow me at 11/4 and I am about to hit Corals at 5/2.

I looked at a poll this morning on the Ring which polled 25 'experts' (fighters, trainers and writers) and 23 picked Canelo to win, with 14 of those saying by KO. Based on that poll Canelo by KO should be less than even money.
