According to Jonny Nelson Jai was sent home after a few days. Maybe because Jai was said to have decked Fury in sparring

I wondered why herg didn't get a fight on the two big heavy bills after a decent (if poorly matched) win on the last card. Do you reckon they saw this coming and kept him back as a credible plan b?Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 23:32Hergovic wants to step in, would be a better fight IMO but would it sell?Grilling Machine wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 22:25 I only started looking forward to this a couple of days ago as well! I thought we'd just crossed the threshold for a pullout.
Usyk could fight a replacement but shouldn't. He should set a deadline for April 27th at the latest. The cut needs 6 weeks minimum, but Fury can do everything but spar in the meantime.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - 17 February 2024 (postponed)
I have read others suggest Usyk face Hrg as a replacement, but is that fair and in Usyks best interest?
Aside from Wilder, who actually turned out to be all hype after all, Fury hasn't fought any of the real legit challengers since holding the belt .. so why should Usyk take the risks and then allow Fury a straight opportunity at all the belts?
The excuse that Fury generates money is no longer valid. Looking at his last PPV numbers, his last PPV was bought only by his wife, 3 of his nine kids, and his father John (probably by mistake), And his unreliability and regular last minute pull outs have to be costing promoters millions.
The Fury's are nothing but a dog turd on the boxing scene. It's about time the Fury's were bagged and binned from boxing.

Sick as a dog that the fights off but seeing Fury's name in the mud provides a little relief I must say

Whole event off, just been confirmed.
Lots of very angry people right now about this.
Usyk should keep busy, defend his title, fck Fury. Let that ring rust build up, let the fornicator put all the weight back on. Fury won't be able to maintain discipline.

Time to vacate now.
These shenanigans have gone on long enough.
WBC need to do the right thing for a change.
Once were regarded as the most prestigious of belts. That was a long long time ago in a boxing ring far far away.
Luke needs to be stripped of his title.

They should make him champion on a sabaticle or whatever it is at least. Wonder if the IBF will now order the Herg fight or strip Usyk?

Yet another postponement/cancellation for Cacace as a result of this, my word that guy has had less than no luck the past few years. Hopefully he still gets to fight Cordina later in 2024 but who knows.

Usyk only wants undisputed and doesn't care who holds the other belt. If it's Hrgovic or get stripped, he'll fight Hrgovic. That fight won't create as much money as Fury, but it don't matter because his excellency has the deepest pockets in the world.

And to think Fury called David Haye all the names under the sun when he got cut. Shameful. ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)

I’m surprised the whole show is off…
I thought they were stacking the card as a bit of a foolproof strategy in case the main event fell through.
The Opertai and Cordina World title fights still make a cracking bill. Unless there’s “other issues” im a bit disappointed at the “concern” given to the other World class fighters working towards this date…

I don't think you can tell, the footage was too quick, it appears he was elbowed and he called stop514126 wrote: ↑03 Feb 2024, 05:51whoever it was,the left hook clearly hurt FuryControversial wrote: ↑03 Feb 2024, 05:27Agron Smakici apparentlyFrostieballs wrote: ↑03 Feb 2024, 05:15

Need a live interview from Luke to see “the damage”
Photos in underpants with shade “the cut” will not do.
Looks like part of the Walin cut has been used in a fairly crude photoshopped picture.
The “brand” is suffering but is probably where it should be. In the karzee.
Let’s be honest. Many, many people called this.
We move on and hopefully the last we’ll see, hear or read about Luke, his cretin of a father and the rest of his tub thumpers. Not that lucky I’m afraid.

I have watched it a few times. Looks like a clean punch to me.
I am gonna chalk this one up as an unofficial TKO loss for Luke Partridge. And against Agron Smakmabitchup too.

Sparring part went way too hard. Looks like he is going all out like the first round against Kabayel.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - 17 February 2024 (postponed)
Have you got a better vid that shows an elbow?
The only vid clip I seen is grainy, and from what I could see it was a left uppercut-come-hook that made Furys legs go and hold on.
Again following the glancing punch that Ngannou put Fury over with - its again a concern that a punch to the eye area turns Furys legs stiff. Have Furys legs really gone as some suggesting??

lol who the f@ck cares if it was an elbow or a punch. theres pretty much no significance to it. the fight is off either way
and not good for fury to get even more damage to that eye

cos he was gonna get beat and lose his unbeaten tag .jwfg wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 16:20Here's a question for you. Why did so many boxing fans predict Fury would pull out?CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 15:54Why would he jeopardise a payday of £70m by injuring himself ? There’s no guarantee that the fight will be made down the line, Usyk could lose to whoever steps in as a replacement etc. and then Fury misses out on such a huge sum forever.jwfg wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 15:30 He was never going to fight on that date. Get Usyk to train for it, meanwhile you arrange for the date that you know it will be postponed to. You think the lying scumbag ain't capable of a little blading. If you think this is all on the up and up, I own London bridge and I'm happy to sell it to you.
As to “blading” himself - would that cause the same kind of cut as a glove or an elbow would ? What if the Saudis, annoyed that their £100m extravaganza had been cancelled, wanted to investigate what actually happened and examine the cut themselves ? I think it’s all a little far fetched to suggest foul play is responsible
stinks

What part of that clip clearly shows an elbow connecting to Luke’s right eye?
