Cheers, Hagler.
I'm going with USA + 50 vs Australia tomorrow at 7/4.
The US are by no means a poor side and since Eddie O'Sullivan took charge he has changed their style of play and they are tough to break down. Australia are still dangerous, especially after Ireland beat them in their last game but I can't see them winning by more than 50.

USA are extremely frustrating, they have talent there but when it matters they lose control of the ball. At 10-5 they were 10 metres short of the Aussie line and the full back loses the ball in the tackle, OZ run the length of the pitch and score a try, could easily have been 12-10 to USA.
22-5 HT Australia - still in a chance with the +50 bet but I have my doubts.

Total French tries vs New Zealand, Over 1.5 @ 13/8.
I do think New Zealand will beat France quite handily but they have conceded tries against both Japan and Tonga and there is no reason why France can't score two with the likes of Traille, Clerc, Rougerie etc.

Russia +51 vs Ireland @ EVENS
Ireland always struggle scoring wise against the "weaker" teams at the World Cup and we are fielding our second choice team tomorrow. It will be physical and scrappy. I see us winning by 25-35 points but no more.
Argentina -2 vs Scotland @ EVENS
I fancy Argentina to beat the Scots. If Contepomi hadn't of injured himself against England, Argentina probably would have won that match, they missed penalty after penalty. The Scots haven't really set the WC alight and looked poor against Romaina and Georgia in their last matches.

I was blessed with the Irish result, it finished 62-12 so I got the handicap by one point. Wasn't so lucky with The Argentina Scotland game, needed the Argies to win by 3 points but it finished 13-12 to them.

I was disappointed with Argentina today, their forwards as always were excellent but I found their backs to be largely ineffective.
Some of their tactics didn't help, taking shots at goal from over 40m out near the touchline, in difficult conditions and this new ball. Their lineout is an absolute machine, they ought to have kicked for the corner and gone for the catch and drive.
Really though it was two pretty poor teams, the winner of that match was always going to get tanked in the quarters anyway.

I can't understand that either. They were doing the same against England and didn't use their strengths - line out, pack etc. Really poor on-field decisions.

Agreed.
A lot of teams do it and I've no idea why.
If it's easily kickable, then by all means, but for me teams are just programmed to go for the three points regardless, when realistically the kicker would do well to kick two of three from that particular spot.
With a lineout as good as theirs I'd use it as much as possible, likewise against the Aussies I'd just scrum them to death, like the Irish did. If I was in their 22 and had a penalty, unless it was bang in front I'd call for the scrum.
Before long you'll have a penalty try, and possibly have them down to 14.

Wales vs. Namibia
Highest scoring half - 2nd Half@ 4/5
Namibia usually fall completely apart in the last quarter of the game and concede a lot of tries so even though it's odds-on I think it's a good bet.
Anytime Tryscorer: Craig Mitchell @ 6/1
No logic behind this whatsoever but Mitchell is the highest price for an anytime scorer and against a team like Namibia it is usually a free for all so hopefully Craig can bag his first international try!

Georgia vs Romania
Romania +5 @ 6/4
This is going to a tough, physical game and I can't see either set of backs dominating too much. I actually think Romania have a chance if they can play like they did against Scotland. Georgia have been a solid team for a few years now but are getting old and tend to wear down in the second half. I'm not confident enough to back Romania outright so will give them a 5 point head start.

Sergio Martinez by KO TKO or Disqualification @ 4/7 is like buying money.
No need to thank me I'm here to help.

One I forgot to post up in play was Samoa +21 vs SA at evens (or thereabouts) on BF.
Campillo by decision looks good at between 9 and 11/4 with various bookies, though getting a decision in Germany is always a sticky one.

Log on to Paddy Power, go to GAA sports, GAA matches, Cavan Gaels v Castlerahan.
Go to handicap betting, Cavan Gaels - 6 at 11/10.
Lump on, collect.

There is something I never thought I'd see on this site - a tip for a Cavan club match.

Yeah, if it was in the USA, definitely. In Germany, very risky.

Might take that, cheers.
Both seem ''common sense'' bets, the Italians haven't really done it in the tournament thus far and the Irish might rest a couple in light of the probable QF against Wales.
The Georgians aren't a bad unit, the Argies look a bit ponderous and programmed to go for the three points at all times, so realistically they're probably not going to score more than three tries.
Was very disappointed with England today, going for the points from very difficult positions, the one time we got decent ball in their 22 we scored.
Johnson has a couple of selection dilemmas that I'd rather not have, the drug cheat loosehead needs dropping, I'd definitely make a chance at scrum half too.

We are putting out a full strength side mate because we need to win the game to finish top of the group. O'Gara is in for Sexton (about time). We tend to struggle against the Italians pack and we don't score a lot against them so I think +15 is giving the Italians a very nice headstart.
