Roy Jones Jr vs Bernard Hopkins 1+2

Nothing much to say apart from both were utter shite, their styles just didn't gel as both looked to counter punch,Jones Jr more of a slick, quick, come at you from unorthodox angles counter puncher whereas Hopkins more of a traditional scrappy, ugly, nullifier type of counter puncher so a lot of the action was on the outside posturing with neither guy wanting to lead off,the 1st fight was good for seeing glimpses of the speed and reflexes of Roy and he won clearly, the rematch he was a long time finished and apart from late on in the fight done next to nothing, Hopkins the deserved winner but his constant whining with fouls was excruciating to watch, every little rabbit punch or low blow he was rithering on the floor, just pathetic,it was actually the first time I'd seen the rematch as it wasn't shown in the UK, it'll be the last time too

Incredible trilogy and defo up there with the greatest in the sports history,1st fight was an absolute war with the action swinging back and forth throughout,Morales deserving the win but it was close,he started off the rematch well too until Pacquiao started to break him down and eventually stopping him,the rubber match was a 3 round beatdown though and Morales looked spent, his hard career catching up with hin

The heart and spirit of both men is unbelieavable though
Was the first Morales fight the one where he started show boating and fighting south paw in the final round?

the first fight especially is epic, I sometimes wonder if Morales gets quite enough credit for it, because for me it's got to be one of the biggest 3 or 4 wins since the milennium. great crowd, too :TU:

Those two had some seriously slow and dull fights. Just jones usually ended the fights in a spectacular knockout. Best action fight I've seen from jones was when he got knocked out by Glen Johnson.

Holmes v Norton/Cooney always get a run late at night. Any of Holyfields early fight inc Pinklon Thomas re good value. Jeff Harding v Dennis Andries 1 is worth a look.

It's a great fight. The great Fighting Harada won without a doubt. The Golden Bantam Jofre looked kind of sluggish in compared to other fights that I have seen of him on film. Like his fight on film with tough Mexican contender Jose Medel. In this fight however, Jofre didn't look as good as the Medel bout. There were rumors that he couldn't make the bantamweight limit anymore. But, I can't take nothing away from the Japanese Harada. He was busier than the Brazilian great. He was moving from side to side and was scoring with rapid combinations, keeping Jofre off balanced with the fast jabs. He fought an intelligent fight in a very fast-paced encounter. I voted 146-141 for Harada. He was indeed a true all time great. The ONLY FIGHTER EVER to beat Jofre twice.

Lennox Lewis vs Evander Holyfield 1+2

How Lewis only managed to get a draw in the 1st fight god only knows,I thought he won at least 8 rounds,Holyfield just wasn't busy enough especially in the 1st half of the fight, walking forward and not throwing ,I suppose he did close the gap a little late on but it was a clear Lewis win on my card

Luckily enough Lewis got the deserved win in the rematch but Evander did make more of a fight of it and it was closer,Lennox started off well again sticking the jab out but for some reason just stopped using it which allowed Holyfield to get inside and rough him up,Lewis looked a bit tired so that might explain the drop in work rate, Holyfield took full advantage though and hurt Lewis in the 7th and was clawing the gap but Lewis seen it out to get the W

It's been a while since I watched this.

Most feel Evander was a bit past his best here, I'm not so sure.

Do you think a younger hungrier Holyfield beats Lennox?

I think Lennox just had the edge on him, just as many believe Holy beat any version of Tyson

The Real Deal last great fight was with Michael Moorer. He looked shopworn in the Vaughn Bean fight. Lennox Lewis got the last of Evander. A washed up old 37 year old warrior

I saw last night the fight of the great Eder Jofre with the great Fighting Harada, the second time around. Jofre was sharper and faster this time, but faded in the last 3 rounds after being ahead in my scorecards. You could see that he was slowing down. Harada fought the same way like the first fight. I had the fight a draw. Each one won 7 rounds each and one round a tie. A great scrap by both fighters.
