I think he's exaggerating but only slightly, I believe the last witch to be burned in Scotland was the mid 1700s. Then political correctness took over, and now look where we are.

Actually i think witches in themselves were very pc. They were like prototypical feminists providing a provocative restaging of feminine identity and agency. It was the burning of them that was non-pc and which provoked the reaction of 18th century Guardianistas. But the damage had obviously already been done as witches didn't flourish again even after they stopped burning them. Even though he fought for England ABA as an amateur in 1975-6 (and I'm sitting right next to a poster from his early pro career in 1977 billing him as "former England star")? What criteria are you using to determine if someone is British?

Why didn't he ever fight for the British title? Was he eligible for that title?

Wasn't Boza-Edwards 17 when he moved to Britain in 1974? And then he turned pro two years later in 1976.

He started fighting abroad on a regular basis about 18 months into his career in 1978 and then became primarily American based after 1980, where he now lives.

He was born and raised in Uganda, came to Britain for a few years and then left for America. He just doesn't seem very British to me.

Boza-Edwards represented Uganda as a Featherweight at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games.

Are you sure that he ever represented England as an amateur?
