This makes me proud, once again, to be a boxing fan. Fury's clearly COMEBACK OF THE YEAR and RING should make him #1 mandatory for Joshua's title out of general principal.

In fact what were the other two smoking giving round 7 to Wilder? That was Fury's best round. He tagged him with a number of big shots.

I'll have to watch it again, I personally thought 115/111 for Fury was the best Wilder could hope for - but some of those early rounds were close. If you give Wilder a couple of them then a draw is pretty reasonable.
I agree with Woodhall and Lennox that Wilder probably can't really improve much, he is a bit limited. However, he can still land on Fury and is capable of taking him out next time.
Weirdly, after this fight the one I'd most like to see still is Wilder/Joshua, I think Joshua beats Fury but I would have no clue what would happen with Wilder/AJ.

That Mexicans score card is possibly the worst I've seen.
Round 1 was close, could go either way. Round 2 I gave to Wilder but 3 and 4 were clear Fury rounds.

Do you value your job? If the answer is yes, odds are you feel loyalty towards your employer, its a natural thing.
As long is this sport allows the fight promoter to hire the judges, we can expect decisions like this to continue.
Its such a conflict of interest it is criminal.

Yes and no re: Fury, because I felt Wilder was there for the taking later on. The knockdown was a lapse in concentration rather than getting caught while going for it.
Wilder looked the far more likely to get knocked out in those late rounds for me. The main takeaway from this fight for me was that Wilder isn't heavy enough to beat Joshua in a boxing match. Street fight, sure, but not when Joshua can make his size count over 12.
Having said that, though, Joshua's more likely to walk onto a shot that puts him away because he's more offensive than Fury. I've now fresh doubts that Joshua can knock Fury out. On this evidence I think he might be too slow. But I do think he'd start as the big favourite. Fury took away Wilder's power by backing him up, but he was content to do that without risking himself.

A more aggressive Fury could've won that late, but also Wilder had he not been so potshotty earlier. I'd like to see Joshua-Fury next with Wilder taking the winner. And I think Wilder needs to get back up to 220.

Wilder didn't land. Fury hit his biggest and best shots of the fight.
Some, like round 1 or 2, you can think, yeah OK. It could have gone either way.

I don't like Fury much as a man, but he's fantastic value as the panto villain of boxing.
I'm honest enough to say that I'd like to see him get stopped, but I feel the same about Joshua and Wilder. I don't wanna see any of them with lasting damage, just a few doses of humility. I dread the thought of one of them unifying and retiring undefeated, arrogance off the scale.
Fury seems fine when he's not god-bothering and the rest of it. Guys like Jacobs I can get behind and hope they don't lose. I like Miller, too. Maybe I'll like Fury if he does lose! It worked for Eubank Sr.

right. that was one of the most amazing shows of heart i've ever seen. i'd like fury to have just eased to the decision win, but i guess that is a show of character that will live on.

All depends on your tolerance for his Bible-derived views. He doesn't go around abusing LGBTs or anything, and I'll credit him for that, but I can't get behind someone with such opposing views to my own.
Floyd Patterson's gym had stained-glass windows — the full church works, but I loved him because of his humility and respect for everyone, whatever their sexuality or background. Fury's apparently not racist, which is more than can be said for some of his fans.
But yeah, if he's a hero to you for his clear bravery here, I've nothing to say about that. The man has heart.
