The was the worst I have seen him. He has very poor punch repertoire. No hooks, no uppercuts...just jab jab and occasional right hand.
Then you’ve clearly never seen the Wlad fight
I have, but I have also seen the Chisora fight and that Pulev was much better than this.
To quote the great Adam Smith, boxing is all about levels

Getting spanked by Ruiz Jr is the best thing that could've happened to Joshua. He is miles better now, way better than I thought he'd get to being. As well as technical improvements, he also appears more fluid and less musclebound. He does sometimes still telegraph his right hand, Fury will see it a mile off. He also gets into predictable patterns with his head and foot movements, you can see the cogs turning. However this is now on occasion only, overall he is a much more complete fighter than he was pre Ruiz. Fair play to him.

Looks that way. Vs Pulev he was back to being patient; working behind his job and waiting for the opportunity for the ko, rather than jumping in. That is his best approach.

believe it or not, sometimes a fighter isnt finished/wrecked after 1 loss, and they come back better because they have a heightened perspective of how they need to improve

Of course, but first you have to see a couple of fights after the loss, Mr. Gadfly.

£17m PPV revenue.
1000 tickets sold, don’t know how much they were priced or what the gate revenue was.
Joshua took a pay cut of a min £10m this fight.
Depending on other things like DAZN in the US or sponsors, didn’t do quite well.
£24.95 not a good idea.

Pulev Was Fighting COVID Leading Up To Joshua Fight
"He didn't really have the power or the strength, nor did he have the sparring that he needed in preparation. Once again, not excuses, just facts, and that's what happened," Gotzev told Sky Sports.
"He says, 'No, I'm going through with it, I'm going to fight AJ, and I know I might never get a third chance at this fight ever again. It was too much to lose, not fighting for all those belts. He really believed in himself. He had a shot at cracking through AJ and he tried.
"Within a month prior to the fight, he had COVID. He had to alter his training and quite honestly I thought we were going home. Me to the US, him to Bulgaria. He met with doctors and he made a decision. He is standing by his decision. He's a warrior.
"Look, we've always given AJ credit, and I'm giving him credit now, saying he's a great athletic specimen. He's fit, he's physically strong, he can punch, but the weaknesses are obvious. There were glimpses of that when AJ was getting frustrated every time that Kubrat got close and punched him. Kubrat just didn't have enough. It does take your strength. Kubrat, his X-rays showed he went through a pneumonia stage, but he fought it off and he was there for the fight."

Surprised he didn’t say AJ’s gloves were loaded or that his drink was spiked.
There’s no way you go 9 rounds with AJ or just after pneumonia.
At least when AJ lost and Fury was robbed in the first fight against Wilder they maintained their dignity.
It also winds me up then whenever we hear this kind of thing it usually starts ‘No excuses but...’

Ryan Garcia doubles AJ on DAZN. Not sure where Eddie gets his ideas from he’s a world star. He unkown outside The Uk.

Why are you posting so much these days ?
Why are you posting on threads that don't concern; Traveller, Irish, Yorkshire fighters ?

Where did you get those stats from? Is it double world wide views or just the US?
I’d understand fully if it’s US given Garcia’s popularity over there but I’d be very surprised if that’s worldwide.
Whilst AJ isn’t well known in the US he does seem semi well known worldwide. In 2019 I personally saw billboards of him in Barcelona, Dubai and in the States all promoting various products or brands.
He’s not unknown outside of the U.K.

They are in America. I’d imagine in Mexico, Garcia smashes him as well. And it’s a pretty big country. All his panic countries, anyway.

Have you got a link for it? I hadn’t realised that DAZN released viewer numbers.
I’m sure Garcia had more viewers in Mexico - he’s of Mexican heritage. Similarly I’m sure AJ did bigger numbers in Nigeria and the rest of Africa. Not sure what that proves though.

Was the fight even on DAZN in Mexico? I didn’t know there was DAZN in MX.

I read it on Twitter. 5.6m in America for Garcia and Canelo. AJ 2.8m. I don’t know who broadcasts them in Mexico.
AJ isn’t that big in Nigeria . Half of the ones I’ve met haven’t a clue who he is.

Televisa and TV Azteca broadcast Canelo.

I’d be amazed if those viewing numbers are correct for the US.
It would mean more people watched AJ vs Pulev over there than bought the Fury/Wilder PPV, watched him fight on ESPN or even watched him in WWE!
