I honestly don’t know. But he’s literally selling most of the tickets for some arena shows, his dad brings big numbers online, etc. They will know their worth, too.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑31 May 2024, 16:32what type of figures you think he's looking atmickey1975 wrote: ↑31 May 2024, 16:31I believe he does a lot better than you think.gregregegg wrote: ↑31 May 2024, 16:08
First I would like to say, I have no idea…
But I think ticket sales wouldent make him loads when it’s all said and done because I’m sure he is flogging mainly cheap tickets, he throws in a shirt and his dad has to shift em and send em.
50 quid tickets would he even get half? Doubt it, Mabey 20 quid a ticket, throw in a shirt and your dad’s time there’s not a ton of meat on the bone(still dreamy for a normal area levle guy)…
But the tickets bring the hype and as such I assume his purses are very decent too. So In Terms of purses vs tickets I think they are too linked to really seperate, if Johnny wasn’t a valuable get out of jail for an empty arena ticket seller no one would know who he was and Ed would pay him penuts.

I think he is doing very well. I’m just saying I don’t think the raw ticket profit is the bulk of it (still a lot though)mickey1975 wrote: ↑31 May 2024, 16:31I believe he does a lot better than you think.gregregegg wrote: ↑31 May 2024, 16:08First I would like to say, I have no idea…SeanBrennan wrote: ↑31 May 2024, 14:45 how much do you think Fisher makes for his fights in terms of purse and then his % from ticket sales? sorry to always be a bore with "what do they make" it just really interests me

Making money from all angles too. Tickets, purse, Merch, Spencer’s, events… big John is promoting sports betting (ethically I don’t love it but given his following they would be paying him great cash for that)…
When I said I don’t think ticket sales would make him loads I ment I doubt he is doing 2000 tickets making 50 quid a ticket… for a sneaky 100k profit… I still think they will be doing well for him. But as I said other revenues are probably just as fruitfull.

Given fishers unique position if I was matchroom I would be planning ahead a bit more. Put Dave Allen, or kash Ali, or Franklin ignitions, Jeamie Tshikeva on the undercard In an easy 6 rounder…
Why not? Cost a couple grand, have a future opponent familiarised to your fans, have a backup fighter I guess to potentially, fill an undercard slot. Seems like a no brainer to me.

I was gonna say I think Maxi Hughes said he got 40k for winning the IBO. I know that’s (I) as challenger and (I) heavyweights command bigger bucks but yeah fisher surely makes a fair bit more than that for his fights even now. Now that he’s headlining I think he could be pulling 6 figures.

Part of the undercard has just been announced and call me Nostradamus, Sains and Visioli both on there.jameswilson wrote: ↑30 May 2024, 15:56 Can't imagine the undercard having anything great, probably your Essex and London prospects getting an extra fight in. Sains and Visioli would be two I'd definitely expect on there.
Reece Belotti defends British and commonwealth titles and John Hedges fights for the southern area cruiserweight title as well.

This is a Very weak undercard for a pretty big venue… Johnny is going to have to pull somthing out his arse here or it will be half full.

Eddie’s saying they’ve already done 4000 (half the arena) with a month to go.gregregegg wrote: ↑07 Jun 2024, 04:28 This is a Very weak undercard for a pretty big venue… Johnny is going to have to pull somthing out his arse here or it will be half full.

Hearn has said it's one of those Next Gen (or Nxt Gen) shows, so there's unlikely to be anything beyond domestic level.

I'm OK with the main event and the Fisher Babic fight.

I’m ok with the card if they fill the arena (or nearly fill it). I just don’t like when people have a 7000 seat arena with 3500 in it… or to the extream for rugby Leuage back home in Aus they will have 9000 in a 90000 stadium often and it’s stupid with no atmospher…

I'm actually the opposite, I like room to move, easy access to food, drinkies, and bogs not awash in...

There aren’t many left on general sale but I don’t think they’ve opened up the whole arena yet. Also I’d imagine big John as taken several thousand in hand so there’s a chance some may come back on the market.

fornicate all on Ticketmaster. Think big John had 3000, but I’m sure he will shift them if it’s looking to be a sell out.
Interesting to see if they have more seats they can open up.
If this does 7k with atmospher what next? Haha English title at the 02 haha?

Or are you saying he has done 1000+ befor because that is incredible…
Either way, good to have some young crew hustling tickets trying to make a thing of it.

how do the big ticket sellers even do it at the smaller levels, where they arent very well known beyond their own circle yet? like, how many people actually have thousands of friends and family?

I guess you get your mates and family to go, then hope they bring others. But it’s an absolute slog hence why it’s rare… but to go bigger than that it needs to become an event or a ritual people look forwards to doing. Like every couple of months we start drinking at 10am, watch some boxing and go eat kababs…margaret thatcher wrote: ↑12 Jun 2024, 19:30 how do the big ticket sellers even do it at the smaller levels, where they arent very well known beyond their own circle yet? like, how many people actually have thousands of friends and family?
I have thought about how to get people into venues like bars and stuff in small towns, and figured it would be worth while picking a few local popular/influential (not like influencers, just those guys and girls that naturally seem to decide what pub to go to on a night out cause that’s there personality) people from each social group and letting them drink free… and then profiting of there people and vibes they bring in… I’m this case it’s giving em a free ticket if they can bring some mates… could world if you pick the right social organiser type people. Give away one ticket they bring in 8+ people
But ultimently it’s not easy, hence why fornicate all people can do it. John’s got lucky, then his dad went all in on it, and it’s kinda the perfect storm…

The Fishers have done an unbelievable job. Not only built a fan base for Johnny but Big John has somehow made a name for himself out of it too.
T-shirts, all day pub crawls and ending with the fights. Fair play to them.

I honestly think a lot of it is their likeability, really genuine, self-effacing, Fisher never bad mouths anyone, is reflective, doesn't say he's anything other than learning. Not heard anything but positive words from everyone else about him too. It is good to see a good person doing well. Who knows his limit but I like supporting and watching him. He's got a history degree like me too so I'm team Fisher.maverick23 wrote: ↑13 Jun 2024, 02:38Yeah - it’s incredible that young pros can sell 1000 tickets.
