What about bare knucklers that aren't/weren't heavyweights? Wasn't there a man called Booty Kelly who was a handful?

I didn't stipulate any Heavyweight category, otherwise Rufus who weighs less than a sack of spuds soaking wet wouldn't have made the fraud list.palooka wrote:What about bare knucklers that aren't/weren't heavyweights? Wasn't there a man called Booty Kelly who was a handful?
Dada 5000 makes the list simply because he was known to hold backyard bareknuckle fights, these lists are by no means an endorsement or indicator of talent per se, other than the fact that fighters are either "Warriors" (lol) or "Frauds", some such as Rufus you wouldn't even class as a fighter ! As for Elias Smith I will surely add him ! As allready stated "These lists are works in progress" and "Names can be added/omitted". Elias was overlooked simply because time permitting it was not an exhaustive undertaking, just something to pass the time and rouse some kind of dialouge, and I concentrated more on the Irish Travellers that fight with bareknuckles simply because they are the more widely known, so simply put Elias escaped my train of thought, but spot on Sir ! That fight he was in against that Mason fella is undoubtedly the finest fight that you could possibly see online, and seeing as the English Romany guy's rarely put up video's of their fight's it leaves one wondering if they are a whole different class apart from the many hundreds of Irish fighters in videos ! (Of course there are exceptions, Paddy Ward, the Joyce brother's etc stand out from the many, but not a single fighter has exhibited as much ferocity and will to win as Elias showed in that fight in my mind, and the pace of the whole fight was amazing ! Compare that fight to any of Paddy Ward's two fight's with Barney Mcginley for example !) So yes my bad ! I will ammend my list to include the mighty Elias Smith, or should I say "the Ferocious Elias Smith" ?!Tomasino wrote:Matt the Master wrote:BKB Warriors Past and Present.

What do you know about big Jim Neilson?
Why is Elias missing?
Edit: Dada5000, your worse than Homocide man ffs
Are you fornicating dense or something ? Or is your brain just sparesly populated with brain cells ???gp. wrote:So it's just a list of people you have read about? What purpose is that supposed to serve?
Well actually maybe technically speaking it isn't, but for some who aren't blessed with a resourceful Gypsy loreist in their family it's as close as it get's to one !palooka wrote:Bartley Gorman's autobiography is not a reference book.

A very few I have read about, some are common knowledge that they fought bkb i.e Jem Mace, others such as most of the present day Gypsy/Traveller fighters you can see on You Tube. However even though I only heard of Big Jim Neilson through a book I doubt anyone here is going to say that he didn't fight and make a liar of not only Bartley's account but also of Uriah Burton (simply why would one man need to lie about another man's fight's ? Especially as it would undoubtedly be common knowledge that they did indeed fight !)
"What purpose is that meant to serve ?"
Well you just answered your own question by replying...."These lists were instigated to initiate debate/discussion"
Some I know nothing about, some I have an opinion on seeing them fight if only via a video. In the same way is it not permitted to watch a boxing match on You Tube, or must you actually be there to have an opinion ???gp. wrote:Matt the Master wrote:Are you effing dense or something ? What discussion? It's just a list of people who, by your own admission, you know nothing about.
You are way more annoying and stupid than Rufus. Really. Ask around for opinions.
Why have you spent weeks attempting to bully the one man you can find who, presumably, you think is weaker than yourself?
