my post was tongue in cheek at the poster who said cormier is a 90% fav against everyone bar Jones. I think Stipe is better than Cormier, and pretty sure Ngannu is better than 10% shot vs DC given how easy he is to hit.
Ngannou would get ragdolled and stopped against DC. Cormier would take him down at will.

I don't think the comment is far off from the truth. I'm happy for Stipe that he won. But, I think DC IS the better fighter. He wasn't listening to his coaches. Had he utilized a more wrestling based game plan, I believe he would have won the fight. But he had such success striking with Miocic the 1st half of the fight he was hungry for the ko. Honestly I thought DC was on his way to another stoppage win the way Miocic was letting DC grab his hands, close distance, and constantly land punches and elbows. It's like Miocic had no answer for that technique until DC gassed and he started digging the body.
Big francis would pop DC in the mouth and that would be all she wrote

That's what people thought before he fought Rumble. And Johnson also had much better grappling than Fran.

Yes, as good as Ngannou is, he's pretty limited in his technique, you'd give him a chance against anybody, because even when he only clips people, they go over.

If Cormier got him to the ground, he would be in a world of trouble.

I think if Cormier can't get a rematch with Stipe, he should probably call it a day.

Why in the world would Nate fight till? Im down for Nate smacking around masvidal, what I really want is Nate/gaithjie.

Would also like to see Diaz vs. Till (assuming Till stays at WW) and also Sandhagen vs. Moraes.
Till vs Diaz would be a good fight, think nate would grind Till down tho
I don't know. I think Till is too big. Pettis is a small ww. I'm expecting to see Nate/Jorge next. The lead up will probably be bland due to mutual respect. But the fight should be outstanding.

I'd love that fight. But I don't see Nate cutting down to 155 unless it's a big money fight. Not sure Justin pulls that kind of dough yet.

I think it makes a good deal of sense, Till was just a title challenger less than a year ago and I don't think Diaz should jump straight to the front of the line just cause he beat a very vulnerable Pettis after a 3 year layoff.

Till is bigger risk, less reward right now for Nate. Plus, Till won't generate the type of money Jorge will. Till is on a 2 fight losing streak. Till, especially at this point in time, is all wrong for Nate. Styles make fights. Nate would have a better chance against Jorge than Till IMO. Till is too big for Nate. Nate had issues McDonald and Kim at 170 when he moved up there for a couple fights quite a few years ago. Till is a huge 170 pounder.

So one of the bigger stars in the sport is going to come back, win a fight, and then fight a guy who only is a draw at home coming off two losses in a row? Nothing could make less sense.

I don't personally rate Diaz as a particularly serious contender in the division, whereas Masvidal has definitely cemented himself as one at this point. That's part of the reason for my thinking on this. Masvidal should be 1 fight from a title shot and I think that fight should be against someone like Woodley or Covington or Edwards.

Masvidal doesn't deserve a title shot. You're all over the place. Nobody deserves a shot until Colby gets his. Diaz is more money for masvidal than any of those fights. He'll be happy.

Diaz-Masvidal makes financial sense for everyone involved. That speaks louder than who deserves a title shot anyway. I'll be surprised if we don't have a date for this matchup within a month.

I didn't say he deserved a title shot. I said he should be 1 fight from a title shot. And I'm sure he'd be happy with the money, but I'm just saying what I'd rather see, which is Masvidal against another elite contender, which I don't really consider Diaz.

I'd probably prefer seeing Conor in prison, to be honest.

Yeah but Nate had more problem with the size difference because of Rorys grappling/wrestling. He got ragdolled in that department. Till wouldn't look to wrestle Nate. He can't grapple for shit. Edwards has much better grappling than Till.

Anyway though- Till vs Nate isn't that appealing to be honest.

There's rumours going around that Till is gonna fight Gastelum at 185. Fun fight although I think Till will get knocked out again.

He was an England international so very well known. Used to get into fights on the pitch quite a bit. Also has apparently been training for about 10 years as a hobby aswell whilst he had his rugby career.
