Anthony didn't impose his size at all. He played Usyk game. There were times when he stopped mirroring Usyk nervous movements and for a moment just standed still and let Usyk bounce but that was too few and far in between.
He should have gone to the body at first and let Usyk bounce till he had no energy to bounce again. But he fought stupid. Joshua needs a new trainer... something needs to changes if he is to go on. Lennox was right about that!
Joshua did not win 5 rounds. No way..................

If AJ is more aggressive and tries to use his size next time, I guarantee he gets stopped inside 6 rounds. Usyk will light him up with counters.

Agreed, points win was the most possible outcome but I thought that stoppage is possible because I expected that Joshua will be more aggressive, but he wasn't.

Usyk had fantastic footwork and lateral movements. His swinging reminded me of Joe Frasier, although the are/were quite different fighters.

Eddie Hearn claims that AJ won the first two rounds and was also leading on the judges scorecards after eight rounds.

And AJ claims to have suffered the damaged eye during the ninth round.

So the point they’re eluding to is that AJ would have won the fight if the eye injury didn’t happen.

If Hearn’s claims about the official scorecards are true, then this seems bizarre. :o

I had Usyk comfortably winning the fight after eight rounds.

Howard foster tried his best to screw usyk, but usyk dominated down the stretch and made it impossible

Joshua should poach a belt when usyk is stripped which will be a fight with joyce or whyte i assume.

AJ won 6. round surely, 5. and 8. are questionable, Usyk won the rest.

is wilder the best hw you think? you have him koing fury and usyk :box:
If Wilder does as I predicted, then yes. Not many on this forum will give him credit though. The goalposts will keep moving.
well since you believe he will accomplish that and would ko fury and usyk, does that mean you believe he's currently the best in the world?
I already answered you question, but I'll try to type slower. IF Wilder beats both Fury and Usyk, he will prove it. Until then, the belt holders, Fury and Usyk own that claim. The belt holders are "the best" until someone takes it from them. Everything else is opinions....like arsholes, everyone has one. All I can do is make a prediction, just like everyone else.

Never was so glad to be wrong about a fight in my entire life. However it's worth noting that Tyson Fury basically prophesied Joshua losing to Usyk saying that Usyk had been holding back how good he actually was, looking like crap on purpose against Chisora and Witherspoon, kind of like how Fury himself will intentionally perform less than stellar against lesser opponents.

And over a year ago Tyson Fury also said that the Ukrainian would beat Joshua. Anyways, Joshua can be out fought as well as out boxed. Last night showed me that Joshua would have never of been competitive with Tyson Fury because for all intents and purposes Fury is like a giant version of Usyk with the head movement and feints and lateral movement, constantly pumping the jab, darting in and out of range.

Jesus Christ Almighty God bless you all :TU:

Fury also said that Usyk stand no chances against the big heavies and that he could beat him with one hand.

exposed. clear as crystal laid out to see for everybody with an ounce of brain...

the fix was in. usyk was clearly set up to get robbed of a life achievement the man put all his heart, blood, sweat & tears into since he was a kid... imagine that shite...

INSTEAD HE FUCKED THEM, destroyed their evil plan by pure determination & skill.

also joshua's & his corner's phlegma speaks volumes.

they thought they can just cruise to a fixed decision without taking any risk, by not once pulling the trigger, not once letting his hands go... abysmal, formulaic shit bully boxing less sophisticated but reminiscent of vlad at his worst even without letting loose the odd right hammer.

It's hard to argue against Fury considering nobody thought he could out-box Klitschko, and he did it. Nobody thought he could make a comeback to the top, but he did it. Nobody thought he could beat Wilder, and yet he did it twice regardless of the record books.

Usyk has proven that he's a bonafide world class elite heavyweight, but--- he defeated arguably the most mechanical and one-dimensional title holder to do it. A heavyweight who had lost before embarrassingly.

I think I said several months back that Usyk's best chance at winning the title would be against Joshua. And of course that turned out to be true. Joshua was befuddled by head movement and a non-stop jab. His overly muscular body once again failed him, against a man with fluid motion.

I'm not so sure that Usyk could pull it off against Wilder or Fury who came straight at him imposing all of their size and strength, which is something that Joshua did not do at all. He did not fight like a big man in there, he fell for the trap of trying to outbox a boxer.

Well, Fury probably would beat Usyk pretty handily. His movement is at least very nearly as good as Usyk's, and he is just too much bigger.
I'm not sure Wilder would win any ten-second stretch of a fight with Usyk. But of course if he did, he could pull out the win over him as well.

What a great fight that was.

Truly epic.

Perhaps thst was the best boxing we've yet seen from Anthony Joshua.

I can't recall seeing Josh box better than that.

If AJ and McCracken thought they could outbox Usyk then kudos to them, they almost did.

After a tremendous start by the Ukranian things looked to be changing by the mid rounds. By 5 and 6 it looked like most of the predictions were going to be proved right.

AJ looked like he was getting the upper hand and Usyk looked like he was slowing.

Alas, it was not to be.

Usyk, like the champion he is, dug deep and gained a second wind as AJ picked up his eye injury. In fact both were injured and anything could have happened.

There was nothing wrong with AJs tactics, he just came up against a superior boxer on the night.

The best thing about Anthony Joshua is his willingness learn and improve. That is a priceless asset.

I would not be surprised in the slightest if Joshua comes back better than ever after this.
