Big Doofus you seem a touch obsessed with Joshua.
It's a thread about Joshua's next opponent.

big lennox you seem more than a touch obsessed with Big Doofus.
I think Big Doofus is fixated on Joshua and Big Lennox. That's ok. Whatever gives you comfort.

Wallin is scheduled to fight an 8 rounder in late January, which presumably is a marking time fight for something else. Ajagba is fighting Stephan Shaw.

I think the Wilder fight (and subsequent KO) would produce the most bizarre post-match antics from Joshua. I'm all for it

If I was managing Joshua's career I would have him go up against Whyte, Wallin, and Joyce in that order. If you couldn't get one of them substitute with Andy Ruiz. Demonstrate just how much he has improved since fighting Whyte and Ruiz, and get taken into deep waters with Wallin and Joyce.

The Joyce fight would be the biggest indicator that Joshua can be the top guy again or be the best threat to Tyson Fury, because for all intents and purposes Joshua would be facing a clone of himself with a better chin. It would boil down to skills and Joshua would have to demonstrate he has the pedigree to outbox Joyce.

He's at this point in his career where he has to not only get his confidence back he has to rebuild his brand as Joshua 2.0 because I think a lot of people around him as well as the fans are largely doubting whether he can get back into the title picture.

If he can defeat those men go for Fury or Wilder.

I really mean no disrespect when I say. Joshua is lucky not to have you as an advisor.
Joshua does not need to go through a gauntlet to get back to the championship fight.
He is still the money man in the heavy division. British fans have always backed lovable losers.
Joshua can make huge money facing Wilder, Fury or Ruiz tomorrow if he wanted to.
And even if he loses he can still make multi millions per fight.
Go for the biggest money fights now as he is not getting any younger.
Fury would be the biggest payday Wilder the second biggest payday. Anything less and he is wasting his time.
One tune up fight if he feels he needs it otherwise straight to the big bucks before retirement

I'm looking at it strictly from the perspective that if Joshua wants to improve and to really have the best solid chance of being able to compete with Fury or Wilder. Not from the perspective of money or easy title match guarantees.

That's probably the biggest problem Joshua does have is that he is so popular and that people are so willing to pay out of their nose to watch him fight that it would take nothing for him to get a title shot at the Fury-Usyk winner that all he has to do is just sit on his ass and wait without having to fight anybody.

But if he genuinely wants to be the best and to silence the critics and also defeat his own self-doubts he's going to have to go through a gauntlet of opponents just like Lennox Lewis did after losing to Oliver McCall.

Not seeing Joyce as better chinned clone myself. Better chin, better engine and a different style.

I think Hearn has more or less grassed himself up on the latest DAZN show “The plan now is to rebuild him to become a three-time heavyweight world champion. It’s all very well being brave, listening to Twitter, going out and fighting Deontay Wilder (next). But there has to be a plan. A smart plan”.
Yes, sounds like they really wanted the Fury fight!

It's worth remembering that Joshua thought the higher quality of opposition last year and Fury chose to box Chisora for a third time, which is pretty shameful.

I actually think they did , he got beat and agreed to fight Fury , it was'nt AJ who put a stupid deadline on signing , and then signed for a punchbag with no deadline ..alls Fury done was gave Hearn a reason to pull him out , admitidly i don't think Hearn wanted it too risky

Aj i think really needs to get his game together and get mentaly fit has well has physicly , for my money he should take 12 months , go get himself a complete new team , get a manager to look after his buisness interest and decide if he wants to be a boxer or a brand and buisnesman , otherwise no point fighting Fury he will just lose .

Fury on the other hand needs to get his arse into gear , stop with all the bulshit and bollocks and handpicking opponents he's already beat , its so obviuos what he's up to , setting the mood for a Haye , or the scouse fella , or Wilder .

Theres another one Wilder , seems to be pushing for the AJ fight and never mentions the ordered fight for a shot at the title Ruiz , the ducking and diving is going on everywhere and there all involved in it ,, Fury -Usyk i'll believe it when i see it , Fury --Joyce ditto on that one has well the whole scene is full of fellas who don't want to go near each other and Fury is a big part of that . just look at his resume , best wins were Klitchko , old well passed his use by date , yet Fury would'nt rematch him , and Wilder shocking resume , just a big punch

The heavyweight scene is dire , , Fury can save it by cleaning it up , he can fight Usyk , if he wins go sort out Joyce , then if he feels like it give AJ a crack , but i doubt he will , i hope he will ,, just that over the years theres one thing i've noticed about Fury he ducks , dives , and handpicks more than anyone else except for Wilder , and funny enough he does'nt have too he's talented and massive ,,

Still lets hope he proves me wrong and sticks to what he said , Usyk then Joyce ,, i just don't believe him , there will be a fallo out and an excuse with the blame lay at Usyks feet

Hasn't Hearn said time and time again that Joshua is his boss?
Why do you think that Joshua was not in a training camp for the fight?

Its difficult to train without a trainer, Doofus, mate. Hearns comments just confirmed the blindingly obvious.

His "smart plan" has been for years to go nowhere near the big guys (Wilder and Fury).

Who said they need a tune up , why would he , he already beat Whyte , he needs a trainer and a team and too get his boxing carreer in order i actually agree with you and Doofus , Fury would beat AJ at this present time .. However lets not forget that AJ accepted the fury fight , and Fury pulled out went and fought Wilder for the THIRD TIME ,,,, Fury was then vocal about AJ and wanted to fight him AFTER he lost a second time to Usyk ,, but then when it was accepted , issued ridiculous deadlines

Now them deadlines were supposudly because he was going to fight Usyk around febuary , and thats all fair enough , EXCEPT its january no contracts signed , no venue , purses not agreed and NOT IN CAMP so , so much for he needed it signed in two weeks for AJ but did'nt for his ferocious opponent Chisora , .

Bet you one thing if AJ says next week , i'm good i've got someone managing my buisness interest , i'm fully focused and i'm back with Mckracken next week we will be ready to go in March , watch Fury start calling out someone else

Not saying Fury can't do the buisness he can , its just you can't believe him because he's always looking for the easy fight and the bigger money for the easiest fight , can't blame him , just the boasting while dodging is the bullshit with him ,, although like i said before if he fights Usyk , then Joyce , i'll eat my words

He also said he'd fight Wilder in the States.

Were Wlad and Wilder in their home countries easy fights? Both champions, one undefeated the other undefeated in years. Even Del, in the first fight, was undefeated and in his hometown.
