MVP is saying Dan Miragliota shoved him off his opponent and called him a POS when stopping the bout.
Good for Dan!

Harmansson looked really bad. Some of his shots were unbelievably clumsy and telegraphed. Couldn't believe I was watching the same guy that beat Jacare.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑28 Sep 2019, 17:04 Looks we got another serious contender at 185. Cannoneer looked great today.
He looked good early in the first round. Cannoneer pretty much took the wind out of his sails when he was able to get back up.jujigatame wrote: ↑28 Sep 2019, 22:33Harmansson looked really bad. X2 I like whitaker and am growing to hate fake Silva more than the original.
Holy Shit is Adesanya annoying! I'd also love to see Jones smash him backstage somewhere. He's practically begging for it.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑05 Oct 2019, 11:43X2 I like whitaker and am growing to hate fake Silva more than the original.
Just watched that fight, the kid took a lot of unnecessary abuse. Either the corner or the ref should have stopped it. The ref really could have stopped it about 30 seconds before the KO when he was just falling over anytime he ate a strike of any kind.Tinnie wrote: ↑12 Oct 2019, 19:57 Daaaaamn..... weird thing to say but Thomas Gifford getting flatlined was almost the merciful way to finish the fight in the end.... that fight should in no way lasted as long as it did.....
It was a strange situation where, towards the end, there wasnt really a significant moment where the ref could intervene......
His corner really should have stepped in...... I find it a very strange that the rules say, the corner cant throw in the towel for their fighter, but then goes on to say if they do, then the fighter will be DQ'd..... not sure the UFC's stance/veiws on this but the towel should have been thrown in minutes earlier in that bout at the minimum.....
I see no logical reason why a corner stoppage should result in a DQ
Shameful display. Had that been boxing in the UK the fight would've been stopped sereval times over by the ref, corner retirement or the towel coming in.jujigatame wrote: ↑12 Oct 2019, 21:29Just watched that fight, the kid took a lot of unnecessary abuse. If anything, the commission will go after the ref. They oversee the referees in boxing and mma in their respective state. The UFC has nothing to do with that.Ricky wrote: ↑12 Oct 2019, 21:42Shameful display. I'd like to see the athletic comission hit the ufc with a heavy fine for bouts that go on too long, it's gross negligence.

iirc the adesanya gastelum instance was pretty bad, the ref was itching to jump in but i remember him taking a few glances at the clock. Why do the refs even care about the clock, bizarre way for a ref to think, putting an athlete's sense of pride over his safety.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 11:46 I'd give a ref a bonus for admitting they considered the time of the round as a major factor.
I wish Richard Steele cared about the clock more than his bonus check from king.Ricky wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 14:18iirc the adesanya gastelum instance was pretty bad, the ref was itching to jump in but i remember him taking a few glances at the clock. I recently ran across a poll on a different boxing forum polling if Steele should have stopped the fight.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 16:16I wish Richard Steele cared about the clock more than his bonus check from king.
