In the last 2 years Fury has made multiple offers to fight both and received zero offers from Usyk’s or Joshua’s promoters.big lennox wrote: ↑09 Mar 2024, 06:29 If he faces them. Fury is backed into a corner, now, so hopefully he does fight them both:

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk | PPV - 18 May 2024
Fury pulled out of a signed fight with Joshua.
He's pulled out of 2 signed fight dates against Usyk.
They're not going to waste their time with his non-serious video offers mugging it up for the cameras or fake contract offers when he's already signed to fight Chisora and Ngannou.
Stop being such a gullible fantasist..

Also from Fury, October 2023:
" Ngannou is much more dangerous than Uysk. A lot of people are on about this undisputed fight. Fantastic. But I have a much more dangerous person to deal with next, I believe.
Francis is a bigger man, stronger, more powerful and has knockout capability. Uysk, he doesn't really do much damage to people he hits".

That is true though, to be fair. Just a shame Fury couldn't handle Francis is a similar fashion, rather than making boxing look weak.

Joshua tends to struggle more against smaller, shorter fighters though, bends his knees too much and negates his height advantage.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑09 Mar 2024, 08:28That is true though, to be fair. If that flailing windmill Wilder can knock Fury over numerous times then there's an almost certainty that Joshua would do the same.
In their current versions, I'd pick Joshua to stop him.

If Fury beats Usyk the IBF becomes vacant, why is that?

Fury's legs are going if not gone, so much on his plate now too with him getting mugged off by a novice who then needs oxygen after getting poleaxed against Joshua.

Usyk is carrying the hopes of all boxing fans out there and they couldn't be on better shoulders. I really hope to see Fury getting seriously outclassed and stopped.

In the event that Fury fails to turn up to face Uysk on the May 18th date, would it be Uysk vs Hrgovic or would it now more likely be Joshua vs Uysk III?

Mind you. I reckon Usyk will face anyone.
If Fury fails to show up. It’ll be Delboy again or Ngannou for his joke “Lineal” title.

It was true when Fury was peak between Wilder 1 and 2. I haven’t seen the boxer that would stand AJ on his head since Wilder 2.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑09 Mar 2024, 08:28That is true though, to be fair. Just a shame Fury couldn't handle Francis is a similar fashion, rather than making boxing look weak.

Hmmm, yeah I was only referring to the overall sentiment of the post rather than agreeing Fury would handle Joshua, poorly worded on my part.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑09 Mar 2024, 14:12It was true when Fury was peak between Wilder 1 and 2. You look at posts in here and it's 'if fury doesnt turn up and ends up losing to Usyk' or words to that effect. Frig me talk about making your excuses up before the fight.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑09 Mar 2024, 11:24 Usyk is carrying the hopes of all boxing fans out there and they couldn't be on better shoulders. One bit of AJ's style that is wrong for Fury is his power. If AJ lands clean, Luke the drug cheat is going down.

It doesn't take much to find Fury completely undermining his own words...

In his own words Fury is only doing a 6 week training camp starting at the end of March. He’s not sparring until then. I don’t see this as particularly optimal for timing etc.

Has anyone changed their view on this fight.
At the moment despite being a Uysyk fan …. I am starting to think this is going to be an ugly fight and Tyson is going to smother Uysyk’s work and tie him up and the fight is going to be dull.
At the moment Fury SD … this will ensure. Fight 2

I'm learning more to Fury being somewhat over the hill, that his reflexes aren't what they were, and he's in against a fighter who has all the tools to exploit that perfectly.
Usyk to win, simply by doing more clean effective work, whilst Fury tries to maul and get close, but gets hit on his way in, and lands few effective shots.

I think in my mind it’s speeded up Usyk method of victory. A bit like Phillip Holliday v Jeff Fenech. One fighter is so far gone that a non puncher gets to be Tommy Hearns for one fight. Usyk in 2 or 3 rounds perhaps!

I'm sure both have a rematch clause, but especially if there isn't much call for a rematch, the belts will surely be fragmented

I think Fury will win, somehow, the somehow I'm not sure of yet.Spud wrote: ↑18 Mar 2024, 13:27 Has anyone changed their view on this fight.
