Hennessy has made a massive effort here and this fight deserves our support - if it goes wrong with regards quality - lets complain afterwards - I am furious with the TV Companies and I remain convinced boxing deserves our support and okay this time around Froch and Hennessy will benefit from this.

Come on boxing fans - a change of heart is required here - lets support it and if its sh*t complain afterwards!!!!
I would love to support it. All Hennessy Sports have to do is price it more fairly.
Yep I would agree with that - as a testing fight of this magnitude on the net - I would have said 4.95 would have been a lot more fair.

when it comes down to it mate - I remain totally convinced that boxing has been given a raw deal here - more importantly the fans have been shafted when loyalty was shown to Setanta in the early days - now they feel they have us they do not want to know - well they can f*ck off regardless of the consequences!!!

I would rather spend my money seeking alternatives than give it to a TV company who I feel not only in my opinion they are treating the fans with contempt but in addition their customer service is p*ss poor!!!

I'm clearly missing something here. Mick the munch's job, as Froch's promoter is to promote the fight and on a broader level, his man's career. This is a fight that every fight fan recognises is a really great fight with different viewpoints as to outcome.

I appreciate he didn't win the purse bids so he doesn't have control of the revenues. I assume though that he has a slice of the UK revenue - otherwise why bother. For him to complain there are no suitors, smacks of the fat ugly bird at the ball claiming that noone wants to dance with her and its the lads fault.

His promotion of Froch has been abject, they've both egged each other on with no attempt to embrace the larger sporting fan base in this country.

I've pontificated too much, but my underlying point, yes it is a disgrace that our only major 4 champion isn't being shown live, but when your sole job for that fighter is to facilitate promoting him, the fault is in the (rather large) mirror.

What I still dont get, is why no channel is picking up a next day replay?

I could avoid the result for a day if I had to.

Staying at my mothers house in England at the weekend, she has no internet connection. 24 hour boozer with paid stream ink up to large stream edge has got to be the go.

I'm gonna moan and groan, slag off promoters, telly companies and whine on about my principals.

Then at about 1.55am early hours Sunday morning I'll no doubt be hurridly purchasing this for a tenner while my missus shakes her head calling me names.

Taylor to quit on his stool after 10.

Can see what you are saying, but I am afraid the complaints will fall on def years and it could be the start of something very bad.

If this does well - you think Froch's next defence (if successful) will be on TV - even if no-one could view the thing. Look at Khan vs Prescott... it didn't do well, Khan lost and the PPV got ridiculed in Boxing Monthly - did Sky/Warren listen? nope... why would Hennessy? Its all about the ££££ - and if this did well.... thats all they care about.

Well done ITV!

To be honest I would have bought it but on testing the demo it is choppy and stop/start so clearly my broadband connection is insufficient to receive it and I will be going to bed instead :D

I am delighted to see a variety of websites are supporting this fight by advertising the PPV side of things - even The Sun has got behind the fight and the viewing of it LIVE.

I hope its a success as it could possibly be the kick up the backside TV needs - unfortunately Hennessy to a point has scored an own goal with regards to the Internets success by selling the delayed rights to ITV.

If the internet had real exclusive rights - this internet showing and the outcome could have been very interesting!!!

HS woud have got more money from TV the next day than they will from the PPV on line.

Avoiding allnews and people who talk fights until after the fight in ITV4!

:D
