1st defence, falls way behind, gets up, and knocks the bugger out with only a few seconds left!
a lot of ppl in Britain were desperate to see Froch lose. But he's a real warrior and he's got the result.
Froch certainly needs to tighten up, and was cutting it bleeding fine, but that was a dramatic turnaround. He proved he was a good 12 round fighter vs Pascal, and now he's shown some power and some real guts. He has beaten an excellent scalp. A lot of Brits holding belts wouldn't beat someone of Taylor's calibre - at home.
Luckily none of the other super middles have Taylor's speed or mobility.
not many british fighters in history would have crossed the pond to make a first defence, its all set now for a rematch, in probably august, at the city ground. you heard it here first folks.

froch isn't pretty.
and we know that.
one day someone's gonna pay his arse.
kessler and dirrell are 2 names that come to mind.
but that's a great result over a big american name.
thought froch would win.
but not quite that dramatically.

I'm so glad to be wrong in my prediction.
Froch needs a good rest and then has lots to work on. Hopefully him and his team will thoroughly analyse the fight and correct the mistakes.

Haha. Somebody was obviously at it with that stream. Literally just before the stoppage the plug was pulled.
Ah well. Serves us right I guess.
The Penaloso - JML fight is on it now.
Great job by Carl Froch. He produced power at this level I never knew he had. Pretty devastating finish. Great fight. He deserves an easier nights work on home soil. Perhaps Denis Inkin/ Stieglitz / Mendy/ Murat. Someone like that. Super-middle is so red hot though there are no easy nights.

Think its a bit late for that though. Its his style and it would require a fundamental rethink which is asking a bit much at this stage of the game.

Don't think he proved his power to be honest
Proved his will to win, determination, etc but sil question marks over the power

yeah needs some easier fights, both in pascal and taylor fights he shipped alot of punishment, technically looked one dimensional in rounds I manage to watch 1-5 ...Needs to refine his technique/defense against lesser fighters but he has started strong and is probably expected to continue that ..and was calling calzaghe out after the fight...thats was funny..

Dirrell will fall over if you even throw a punch in his direction. very edgy fighter temperamentally.

yeah a decent fight at home might be good, like allan green who scored a good KO on the undercard tonight.

Allen Green is a decent fighter, if his first two defenses were against Taylor and Green that would quite impressive in comparison to most champions first defenses of their belt.

Yep same here, am tired today and missed the 12th round KO. It happened with Khan PPV too, I think there's someone plays silly buggers to spoil it and teach people a lesson.
My lesson is learnt, however I wouldn't PAY for a stream either, internet and the streaming technology just isn't quite upto speed to justify paying for this stuff. I won't be watching any live streams for a few years now til they sort out reliability and don't expect ppl to pay a tenner for an 'ok' quality stream which is what those omnisport ones look like from the tests.
Should have gone to bed and stayed none the wiser, itv4 tonight would have been a cracker, nevermind I'm a big Froch fan so couldnt leave it.

Rhino,
In answer to your previous post - you maybe right concerning the City Ground - but you are wrong concerning a rematch mate !!!

Rematch would be bollox, Carl said yes in the interview cos he was being gracious. In reality he can now move on, as if Taylor would have been thinking about a Froch re-match if he beat him, Froch would potentially be on the scrapheap and looking at Euro belts etc.
Sod Taylor, he boxed well then ran away and gassed. Onwards and upwards for Carl, I'd say a voluntary defence vs a Miranda, or even an ex-Clazaghe foe like Lacy etc, someone ITV will pick up on and will sell lots of UK tickets.
Then I;d be looking at another big fight, but agree with others I'd avoid Kessler, the old risk reward thing with that guy!
