I can see some hassle coming up.
Ward will outbox Miranda in a couple of weeks' time. This will make Ward WBC mandatory.
Froch will likely want a homecoming in Sept time.
Ward is a US Olympian 2004 gold medal winner. On one hand I doubt he wants to come to England. On the other hand, he wants a title shot this year and his team don't seem to have massive clout.
Might be bad news to fight Ward - another slippery American - away from home. This is the kind of match you'd want with home advantage, indeed with every advantage. This could be the next fight, and I reckon it will be hard to iron out this one.
There's a # of US prospects - Ward, Dirrell, Green - and I bet they all may have to travel to get their shot.

As expected Froch isn`t exactly getting the guys in the division worried with his last two fights ..
Even this calibre of opponent feels he`d have a chance against Froch..

World ranked super middleweight Jesse Brinkley watched with interest this Saturday night as Carl Froch came from behind with seconds to go in the 12th and final round to stop former middleweight world champion Jermain Taylor and retain his WBC Super Middleweight title. The back and forth battle was broadcast live on SHOWTIME from the Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, CT.
Said Brinkley, “It was a decent fight but the skill level for both guys was below average. Froch is a tough guy but his best defense is his great chin. Had Taylor been more aggressive he certainly would have stopped the fight in the third round.”
“Jermain has completely regressed in the last couple of years; it’s as if his confidence level in his own ability has been shot since the first Pavlik fight. Had I been fighting on Saturday night and had Froch hurt like that in the third, the fight would have been over.”
Froch was defending the WBC belt he had won via 12 round decision over Jean Pascal on December 6th.
Continued Brinkley, “I had heard so much hype about Froch and his skill set was very weak for a world class fighter. He just came after Taylor face first with looping punches.”
“I don’t know what Froch or his people have planned but if it’s a real fight he’s looking for, than I’m his guy. We can do it in Reno, the East Coast or in his backyard in England.”
The 32 year old Brinkley, 33-5-0 (22KO’s) is coming off a 12 round blood filled hammering of Joey Gilbert on February 14th. After breaking Gilbert’s nose in the fifth round, Brinkley proceeded to batter his elusive longtime local rival for the balance of the fight in front of a packed house of 7,000 at the Reno Events Center.
Said Brinkley, “Joey ran the whole fight, it doesn’t look like that will be a problem against Froch. I don’t think he moved his head or his feet the whole bout about Taylor.”
I think Froch would muller Brinkley .. but Brinkley hits the nail on the head with his assesment of Froch

I think if Froch fights AA,Hopkins,Bute or Kessler he would get beat but would like to see Froch hold on to his title for a few more fights before getting a big hard fight and making a lot of money before lossing

Big talk from Brinkley. A guy who lost to a shot Robin Reid, isn't he?
How can that clown question Taylor's ability? Jermain was boxing very well.

LOL at Brinkley, from what I remember this is the bloke who came out aggressive against an old Robin Reid who hadn't fought for 18 months and once he took a big shot from Reid he went into his shell and tried to survive
Froch v Brinkley would make Calzaghe v Manfredo look like a good matchup.

I can see problems if Allan Green fights, and beats Bute.
I think Green is promoted by DiBella. If he's gone to Canada, and won the title somehow, I doubt they will a) want to unify with Froch and b) no way would they want to fight Froch in England.
Bute beating Green would be better. Froch-Bute unification, IMO, would be big due to what happened with Froch and Pascal.

Look I know he has limitations but If I were his manager I would explooit the whole "Gatti/Warrior" hype.
I would have 5 UK defences against these guys (in correct order) that would make him into a big marketing machine in the US
1 Miranda (bombs away! Carl's chin being the decider)
2 Lacy (easy beatdown)
3 Andrade (a war with Carl winning on points)
4 Taylor (rematch with a quicker ending this time)
5 Roy Jones (froch would KO a faded jones late)
Then go to Germany to beat (in a war) Abrahams.
And finnally of to Denmark to fight Kessler (he might lose but Kessler might also be spent by this time)
However should he win all of the above he then should go to the US to fight old Nard (while losing against in a horrible fight) and retire with a pile of dosh.
I would stay away from Chad Dawson as he might run rings around Carl for little money.

His skulls are as bad as Andrade's, at least Andrade keeps his hands up though and has the better workrate which he'd beat Froch on.

the andrade comparison is rubbish. this is a man who has lost both his title fights, and probably 20 rounds out of 24 he was utterly dominated. froch
won both his title fights, probably lost 11 rds no more.
let's see what froch can do when he settles down a bit. there's plenty of good exciting fights in super middle. i have afeeling that froch will be in a few life and death wars, that he may lose the belt but that he could come back and win another one. if he provides excitement, has an honest career and fights good opponents he will have succeeded.
the point of this thread is that he's establishe dhimself in america, he's proved he deserves the belt and has shown some willing and some marketability in fights for which he was injured. a number of big and semi big names have called him out and showtime have an option on his next fight. i don't see what all the doom and gloom is for.
the "skulls" can wait until next fight

Wel carl has stated that he wants big exciting fights against good fighters, i see the angle you are trying to take with the "money" aspect but carl is 31 now and has said he doesn't just want to be a champ who fights people he knows he can beat.
I agree with your first pick, miranda in notingham would be good.
Lacy 2nd ?, this is a guy who got schooled by calzaghe and recently was beat handsomly by taylor, not sure what kinda respect he would earn in this fight.
Andrade is not a bad fight and i really would like to see it.
Taylor rematch would be good, but i see this going the same as the last but earlier.
Roy jones jnr, ok it was this fight you picked for carls 5th fight that bemused me, calzaghe has allready wipped roy, and by the time this 5th fight would happen he would be seriously past it.
It's not that those fights couldn't be exciting or make money it's more to do with the way froch has made it clear he wants big fights, he wants challenges.
My dream 5fight match-up would be.
1. Miranda
2. Pavlik
3. Abraham
4. Bute
5. Kessler
That's an awsome 5 fight list in my eyes (cant see it happening), manages to avoid hopkins aswell, who is all wrong for carl in my eyes, the first 2 i think carl wins, not sure about the last 3.
