Joe is very good. But his WBO title was a joke. He fought how many, 2 mandatories in 21 title defences? That is disgraceful. He wasn't a true champ until he beat Lacy.

A man who had been dead for a couple of years was one of Joe's top contenders - Darrin Morris. You can get the title by saving up Weetabix tokens.

Joe ducked Kelly Pavlik. And twice pulled out of fights with Glen Johnson, the 2004 Fighter of the Year.

Joe fought 2 mandatories in about 10 years! Froch will have fought 2 mandatories in a year, just wait.

"ducked" Pavlik? Are you serious? Pavlik is a one dimensional, over rated puncher with heart.

True, he should have fought him, would have been an interesting fight although had he not pulled out and one convincingly I am sure many people would just sit here and point out all the defeats Glengoffe had suffered but they are currently ignoring.

I'm not a hater.

Johnson would go on to win 2004 Fighter of the Year. Pavlik was 2008 Fighter of the Year. 2 worthy scalps. Worthier than Manfredo and RJJ.

Joe cashed out in that revolting event vs RJJ. Joe would have got a lot of credit for beating - yes - a blown up Pavlik. Instead Hopkins went on to beat Pavlik, and got more credit for beating Pavlik than Joe did in his farewell fight.

In many ways B-Hops dominant win over Pavlik has made Joes SD win over Hopkins look a lot better, Joe should have fought Hopkins again or Pavlik instead of Jones.

But I would be happy to accept that Enzo eye has not been on the ball since JC retired and he was in court a lot for the FW trial in the run up to the bill where Macca and Pryce lost

The matchmakers? explain yourself? David Haye - Macca wanted it, Enzo wanted it, everyone wanted it! Gavin Rees - Kotelnik was the mandatory and Rees took over the obligation when he agreed to fight M'Baye and knew the deal, Rees could have had a world championship years ago but couldn't get the weight off as manadatory contedner at 130 lbs.
Matthew Hall for Pryce - Enzo said he was ready for a world title shot yet fails to tell anyone the kid was ill and puking his food up to make the weight.

Neither Enzo Macc nor Pryce had no Sparring whatsoever before their recent losses, none whatsoever, why? Because Enzo spent two weeks in the High Court when he only needed to be there for one day and secondly because he wouldn't pay for any sparring.

Nathan Cleverly was Joes unpaid sparring partner for years, which is why he left him. Bradley Pryce has had the shit kicked out of him for over ten years by JC in the gym for NO PAY. As soon as JC packs up, they don't get to spar at all!

He let his fighters down, he could of took them to London but didn't (His masive percentage would have covered it easily) Yes the fighters got beat but ask them if they were happy to be have been left alone with no supervsion or sparring?

Matchmakers fault my arse! Learn your facts and stop talking complete bollox.

If Enzo Cal was clearly so awful why did FW allow him to look after his most important stable of fighters?? The fact his fighters are so loyal to him speaks volumes. Saying that there is a big difference between being a good trainer and a good manager/promoter.
When a fighter loses it is short sighted to only blame the trainer(whether faults were there or not) The fighter has a big responsibity too and i'm sure you know the importance of careful matchmaking as it has been well practised by SN for years. The matchmaker clearly made a mistake in pitching Macca in v Haye
Cleverly left Enzo as he knows SN are a dominant force and SN would be happy to be spiteful and blackball Enzo's other fighters.
I think the Calzaghe's are now realising how hard promoting is as they are really struggling with their first show. When you have decent fighters it is impossible to return a profit without TV.
Furthermore I think the real reason you are being so defensive in this post is because JC cut out FW for his final fight and won a big court battle winning a couple of million in unpaid purses. If the Calzaghe's continued with FW and allowed FW to keep all that money owed, you would be singing his praises. You clearly do not have and objective opinion

And are you really saying without JC in the gym there is no one to spar with??????????
Surely the others can spar amongst themselves???????
