You are clutching at straws.

Lewis did not make a huge deal out of US contests either, he just went over there and spanked the piss out of anyone they put in front of him.
in my own way i was being arsey with DG.

Hatton gave us good entertainment over the years and hopefully he will provide the same as a promoter. Yes, I have a few issues but whats the point of highlighting them, we all know what they are.

I know, but he did beat top quality opponents through his world title reign and only loss was too an all time great. Calzaghe had Hopkins(we don't know what Kessler is going to do yet), Hatton had Tszyu and Castillo, Collazo is a top fighter as well although not in the same class as KT or JLC, Juan Urango may come good yet but not sure.

Only an opinion :geek2:

One of the things that I don't really get is this idea that Hatton is somehow a "fraud" who puts on a humble act just for the camera.

When you consider the weight of adulation, publicity and expectaion that is piled onto a high profile sportsperson, particularly in such a masculine field as boxing, is it really such a crime for those under the spotlight to develop a big ego?

It is true that cracks sometimes appear in RH's sense of modesty but if anything, I would contend that make him more "one of the lads".

At least the acclaim hasn't turned him into a risable figure of obnoxious arrogance.

What's with the Morrissey lyrics :D

Reminds me of when Morrissey was on Jools Holland and Jools asked him if he liked boxing and Morrissey said " I do like boxing, yes......" and Jools said " So, who is your favourite fighter..." and Morrissey said " A boxer called Cornelius Carr, have you heard of him....?", "no....", said Jools, "Well, he's very good...." said Morrissey. Which just proved that Morrissey knew jack about boxing  It was one of the most awkward interviews ever on the Jools Holland show, with the host looking bemused and Morriseey looking extremely nervous
