There are reliable sources and not so reliable sources. I don't really care who knows what and if someones jobs on the line, I only care if it's on or off.

Anyway, bit gutted the fight is off, but me and my mates are still going to dusseldorf for a piss up and hoping to get a refund on the fight tickets. Never been to germany so i'm still looking forward to going after an initial feeling of heartbreak. We can still do the meet up, get drunk and curse David Haye. :D

Can't see it not being rescheduled. How many other HW's can Wlad fill a football stadium with?

His brother?

Haye should fight regardless of injury, he says he's that good he should be able to beat him still

Haye as a genuine excuse to pull out if he dies

Whichever way you look at this - its gutting news!!!

Team Haye - needed the fight - its a big fight with big money

The Fans - some will lose money and thus they are the biggest losers in this and everyone should feel for them.

Setanta needed this fight - badly!! - watch out for further news on them!!

I had a feeling this was gonna get called off. I lost my passport, so that was a clear omen.

Blame the magpie that constantly sits outside my window at work for the last week.

Jon's just text me back to say he's gonna check and let us know tomorrow. Shame as he did a lot for this forum in getting it sorted.

of all the fights to get called off as well.

think i'd rather see both floyd-marquez and khan-kotelnik go down the tubes than this one. :(

This strikes me as being all about money. Five hours ago Haye posts a link from his Twitter account to a news video item on Setanta Sports News previewing his fight with Klitschko. Now the fight is apparently off.

Setanta are in a total mess financially. They missed a scheduled payment to the SPL on Monday and rumours persist that they are on the verge of folding. They have already tried to renegotiate their existing football contracts at lower prices. Interestingly, at the time when Haye-Klitschko was signed, Ron Lewis writing for The Times wrote:

"David Haye got his wish yesterday when he finally signed for a ... concede home advantage, he will have the short end of the purse. Indeed, it is understood that the only money Haye will receive will be part of the cash paid by Setanta."

Hmm.

Setanta could go under now but you got to feel sorry for Haye as well the biggest fight of his life and he gets injured i know a lot of people will say he's scared but i dont believe that

Interesting insight Ben.

Just realised something else, the IBF have ordered purse bids for the Povetkin fight to be made by September. So a reschedule is not so clear cut.

People that have met David will know that he's the most confident person there is. But he trains like a beast so it was bound to happen sooner or later.

I don't think he wants to be facing Vitali before Wlad. No siree, Bob.

If he doesn't post it I'll start a thread on sticky to make sure people know the score. I'm undecided mate. Maybe. Depends if enough of us still go.

I'm still gonna go to the passport office on Monday, I'm 60% sure I'll still go. Might have to if the ticket still stands for a replacement. Great, Klitschko v Sykes. I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

Hasn't Vitali got another mandatory first?
