I think Napa will win this on points but Davies will give him hell early on....

I think Napa is too well-schooled and clever for Davies who lets remember in pro terms is still fairly raw and hasn't had lots of fights. I think a Napa fight has come too soon for him, but he will come again. I take Napa on points to just old man him a bit and use all his tricks, dependent tho whether Napa still has as much hunger these days. Davies defo has a chance with his power but I take Napa on points for this.

Yeah that's how I see it mate, this is a huge fight for both of them.
If Davies wins he should be taken more seriously and crack on towards Euro honours, if he loses he can come again at domestic level.
If Napa wins he's back on track for a few bigger fights but if not it could be the end of the line for him. How old is he now?

I'm surprised there's a few people still writing Gary Davies off. Davies is an in-form fighter who's possibly the hardest punching Bantam in Britain. He has underestimated boxing skills and very good footwork. Gary also has a tremendous heart. He got a little over excited at one stage against Edmonds and got caught with a couple of daft shots, but I don't think that's good enough reason for anybody to believe Napa's going to school him. Gary will be better with the confidence of being a champion. I know Napa's experienced, slick and busy - but I honestly think Davies will break him up in the late rounds - maybe around the 10th. And I'm going to put money on it.

i think if gary plays it clever and keeps it at a distance for the 1st 6 jabs and moves he'll stop him late on but if he goes out swinging and napa is what he was 12-18 months ago he'll be too slick.
knowing gary well and seeing his last few fights he's been clever and composed i'm going for gary in the 9th/10th

I notice most people in this thread picking davies to win this actually know him. I think Napa will start a slight faviourte with the bookies. I hope to go to this bill.

Yeah guys with 4 or 5 posts always turn up out of the blue on a Gary Davies thread :)
But at least they're keen, and I won't knock that...

off the gym now 2 see gary lol ill tell him the forums thoughts haha only jokin, im a regular poster on here and eastside and atend lots of boxing shows so wudnt say i only wanna talk about gary. i like gary being the underdog as he always has been, like in the martin power fight when we went over to ireland baing honest frank maloney couldnt even get his name right and look where he is now thanks also to steve wood so if he does get beat hes achieved more than he could have wanted and has come along way from were he was 18 months ago! but if he does win id like to see him get in for the european. we can comment on garys boxing ability bevause i personally have seen him a lot and he hasnt shown it much in the pro game as hes only been on sky twice so trust me when i say that no way will he gt schooled, he could get beat on points dont get me wong but his heart and desire will bring him through.
