round 10 messy round. No clean cut punches landed by either fighter. Gave it to Mbaye thought he was busier and blocked most of lynes punches. Pretty dull fight

round 11 Mbaye round. Landed a few good uppercuts. Lynes didnt land anything of note. Lynes looks tired and frustrated.

round 12. Thank god that crap if over. Dull fight mainly due to Mbaye style and inside holding. Even round most of the round had both fighters holding and hitting on the back of the head. Ref was rubbish overall.

Mbaye won on points, said it was a MD. must of been a draw on one of the cards.

in the nicest way i can say it, colin is a frustrating guy to watch and support. always leaves you wanting a bit extra from him. thats why i thought he looked out of sorts with the sport against mccloskey...seemed to turn it in too easily. he wasnt getting hurt but in front of his home crowd he visibly didnt fancy the task. this time he didnt do enuff against a guy who never hurt him and couldnt hurt him....bollocks!!

It would have been nice if Colin could have taken the title back to Britain.

Will McCloskey have an easy time against M'baye?

Right, but he's world class with a lesser resume than Mbaye. I
believe both are world class, but Paul is the better fighter, but
he's not a level above Mbaye on the domestic or world class level
well, at least until he beats him.

Can anyone tell me if Darren Rhodes from Leeds was on the undercard ? Result if possible. Cheers

Wow you actually go againts Colin Lynes! Thought he could do know wrong in your eyes...At one point I thought you was so far up his arse to the point of no return

i followed colin from about 10 fights in. i happen to like him and his family very much. they are genuinely nice people. if that qualifies as being up someones arse then i plead guilty m'lud. i have not turned against lynes i simply think that he has shown us his best and doesnt have quite the desire to reach the top that he once had. its been quite a ride for those who have followed colins career - his personal ups and downs have shown what strength of character he has and i respect how he pulled his career around to beat young mutley and that scots fella both away from home. sorry if that freaks you out.

Glad Lynes didn't win - I can't be arsed with Lynes/McCloskey part II.

Interesting conversation I have just had with a French guy who was at the fight, he had Lynes winning by 3 rounds and he is a M'Baye fan, he also had Mezaache being and I quote "comforatably beaten" but he got the decision also.

He says M'Baye does not have a prayer against McCloskey and that he is totally gone, its just a case really I guess if McCloskey's team are confident enough to let the French have the fight over there or take the chance they could be robbed.

From what he said M'Baye did next to nothing the whole night, be interestng to see the Punch stats perhaps that would tell us but he normally knows what he is talking about.

i may be wrong but isnt it because mccloskey didnt want to fight mbaye in france that lynes got the fight? silly really because i dont give mbaye a hope anywhere in the world against him. not keen on a lynes/mccloskey rematch either.

This was not a good fight to watch or score, neither did enough to deserve the win a draw would have been about right, Mbaye had point deducted for head use, scores were 111-115 115-112 115-113 home advantage played its part.
