not sure about that...surely its the jennings fight that needs to be made to get a bit of exposure and a nudge up the WBO rankings....only FW can make it...

That quote is from allegedly's column in The Sun!

A bit naughty, perhaps? There is no love lost between the two, i believe.

I agree.
Kel's in the best place.
Apart fom the fact he's contractually tied.

Dan,
Dave's split with Wazza wasn't exactly amicable, and as he's demonstrated in the past, any oppertunity that arises, he exploits.
He's also got the outlet(s) to do it.
However when the boot's on the other foot, he often resorts to litigation, or at least a threat of it.
Liitle bit like a kid I used to know in the playground when I was 5.

I think it's a bit cheeky of Frank to put it in his column but it's not the end of world.

Sure Dave will be on here shortly to give his side. John Anthony is a big guy, Dave was only a bantam so to be honest there's no excuse for him resorting to violence whatever has gone off between them.

IF TRUE (which is by no means certain, after all!) in my eyes this makes Anthony look like a total thug.

As for Kell changing promoters, it's not on the agenda at all and i honestly believe that Frank i right behind him now. Kell's own extra-curricular activities were the main reason for his career stalling. Now they are hopefully a thing of the past, there is no reason at all why FW wont push him.

He's now saying in the media kell can be as good as hatton or calzaghe so i think as long as kell stays fit and active, he will get the fights

I sure if Dave wants to bother he will.
The bit about Brendan made me chuckle.
This happened outside.
Brendan never left the room.
Another one for the folklore section.

I was thinking that... cruiser vs flyweight is just a joke really, only not very funny.

How ironic that FW should be laughing at a manager/promoter when a boxer has turned against him. Short memories some people...

I dislike allegedly as much as the next rational man, but of late I don't think he's done to bad a job of pushing Kell's career forward, after all Kell has won a lonsdale belt outright in just 13 months. Would have been inside 9 months (!) if Kell hadn't got injured and pulled out of the Mutley fight twice, which incidently was twice supposed to be the main event on Sky's friday fight night. Speaking of which why did that fight never happen? Mutley would have been a decent opponent considering he possesses a fair dig, but I still don't think he would've made it past the fourth round.
As it is I think Kell's last fight at domestic level should be John O'Donnell, purely for the purpose of acquiring the commonwealth belt.
Moving beyond the domestic scene I think Warren should try to move him up the IBF rankings, the two contesting the vacant belt are pretty average from what i've seen. The only danger is that Joshua Clottey still retains a high ranking with the IBF, and might decide that he wants a shot at his old title, as opposed to a rematch with Cotto. Speaking of Cotto, Warren should keep Brook well away from him, for the time being. This might sound ridiculously obvious, but Brook is somehow ranked in the WBO's top 10. Well he is a Warren fighter after all, I suppose.

I lke Brook. I reckon a good fight to make would be against Lovemore Ndou. You know it will go rounds and he has never when I've seen him, been dominated and has gone close against Mitchell, Malignani and took - in my mind anyway- a fair few rounds in his losses against Witter and Cotto. He will throw and land plenty of leather on Brook but could Kell Brook be the first to stop him? I for one would be intrigued

Should fight Jennings or O Donnell next?

I wasn't THAT impressed, to be honest. Slightly premature stoppage, got caught occasionally with his hands down (good job Lomax isn't a banger) and I'm not sure Brook has shown he can fight inside.

Kell is good at judging range, counters well. is quick and clearly his power is developing. I just don't necessarily buy into that he's a given to reach world title level. I think Jennings might expose a few defensive chinks should they fight but Brook would probably come through. Personally, I was much more impressed with Nathan Cleverly at the weekend.

Seeing as I only saw the last round of the Brook fight it's hard to say but I too was really impressed with 'Clev'.

Off topic, but I was very impressed with Jony Jeffries the other day, I know he was hardly in with a world beater, but he's a truly vicious puncher with real venom in his work. Hope he goes a long way because he will be great to watch if he does.

Brook turned pro with the Ingles after being tutored by Brendan from the age of about 10,turned pro at 18 had 8 fights in 10 months, left the Ingles after being approahed by Dave Coldwell to be promoted by allegedly.Brooks father welcomed the deal being a massive Hamed fan thinking Warren would take Brook along a similar vein.Unfortunately Dave Coldwell et al weren't competent enough to nurture a talent like Brook.
3 years under Warren and Coldwell,Brook disillusioned by it all only managed 9 fights in a three year period culminating in a vacant British Title victory. On numerous occasions Dave Coldwell washed his dirty linen in public, dressing Brook down in the local papers after failing as a trainer and mentor(which was hardly surprising considering he had to fill Brendan Ingles shoes)

Regardless of the disputes between Warren and Coldwell, Brook would have eventually returned to Wincobank, after realising that with the Ingles missing from the equation, he would hardly follow in the footsteps of his hero Hamed.

A 1st round destruction of McIntyre a 2nd round demolition of Elwell and a 3rd round stoppage of Lomax is testament to Brook and the Ingle system of training he was tutored under.
Twenty six, the only part that Dave Coldwell deserves a mention in this discussion ,is that he is responsible along with Mr Warren for disrupting the career of Kel Brook who at 23 has not yet achieved 50% of what he is capable of.
Ryan Rhodes and Kel Brook were the only decent fighters Dave Coldwell had and they came from Wincobank, alas they are both gone, along with Josh Wale and others.Dave Coldwell has crossed so many bridges and burned them all behind him,his only hope is that David Haye pulls something out of the bag.

The future for Brook looks good, he has a massive fan base in Sheffield and would easily fill those venues that are the usual promoters haunts, Hillsborough L C,Ponds Forge International Venue even the City Hall.

Thanks for the insight mate, but as is usual there is always more than one version.
I believe him to be the best UK prospect, and capable in due course of hitting the World stage.
The only thing I would say is that the inactivity cannot be placed at one person's feet.
Kel I am sure would be the first to acknowledge that he's had his weight problems in the past, personal issues away from boxing, and the little matter of numerous opponents just not wanting a piece of him.
You seem to know a great deal about the kid, so surely you must accept that there were issues in his first stint at Wincobank ?
Surely you must also accept that these factors are outside the control of the Manager / Promotor / Trainer whoever those respective parties are at any given moment in time ?
If Mr Wazza is culpible in all this - why did Kel sign a lucrative deal with him not so long ago ?
The past is the past and the future's well, BRIGHT.
