jimmy tibbs is an excellent trainer but can you see mitchell going to tibbs it would be insulting to cook
Why would going with Jimmy Tibbs be an insult to Cook? Yes Cook's a good trainer but surely Cook also realises that Tibbs is that level above, you only have to look at the champions he's produced and fighters he's worked with in the past, you cant buy that experiance....In years to come will you hear Jimmy Tibbs's name mentioned as one of the best trainers to come out of this country? Yes. In years to come will you hear Paul Cook's name mentioned as one of the best trainers to come out of this country? No, I doubt it. Thats taking nothing away from Cook though because Tibbs is a rarety.

kevin will fill venues, i believe he is a big ticket seller, with a little more exposure and the right fights then mitchell will become a house hold name. its a shame that the tv coverage is so poor, and alot of boxers are victims of the sport losing its identity. boxing imo is the toughest sport with fighters giving 100% and getting little return. its a shame what happened to setanta, fans need to demand that boxing is on tv ie sending emails etc.

good move :TU: You must let us know how you get on and the differences between a Uk & Us Gym, thanks for answering the question and good luck.[/quote]

Been a 3 times myself m8 the trainers were not on par with wot we have in Britian, but there was a lot of good fighters there for sparring.

On the undercard of course.

Mitchell has a long way to go before he sells out big venues or becomes a household name asn mentioned by someone above.
Can't see either happening to be honest, but good luck to him. I like watching the man fight :TU:

when Kevin fought Carl Joahanneson the 02 was packed with around 20,000. if Kevin cant fill this venue then who were the fans that night. were they David Hayes or enzos, Im not for one minute saying they are all Kevins fans, but I dont think there was 10,000 haye fans or 10,000 enzo"s fans that night. my point is Kevin got alot of support that night and with the right exposure Mitrchell could become a household name.

I don't understand what you are saying.
90%+ of the crowd that night went to see Haye-Macca.
If you put Mitchell as top of the bill at the o2, and leave off the Olympians etc he wouldn't pull in no more than 5,000 right now.

Was a belting little fight and perfect to whet the appetite for the main event. It showed Mitchell's limitations though.

I hope Mitchell gets his title shot he deserves it he needs to fight tougher fighters instead of these bums he should fight tough British level fighters for a bit more of a test

Unless I'm missing something, that's exactly what he said. He said it was a belter of a fight (which it was), but highlighted Mitchell's limitations.
