Maybe as a half-hall, with the upper tier closed, so about 3000 people?

I reckon reasonably priced with good undercard could do 3,500.

Not in my eyes. Whilst Rhodes has been struggling with the lieks of Jamie Coyle and Vincent Vuma Jamie has been in the form of his life against PIccarillo and then the Ukranian. Jamie looked devastating in both fights.

Dont get me wrong, Ryans a good fighter, but at this stage in his career he's a level below Jamie Moore, and Jamie looks to be peaking.
I agree jamie is peaking..he is on the verge of a world title shot i think he is ranked 3 by the wbc..and the light middleweight division is not at it's strongest so he has a good chance of becoming champ..rhodes is will be put under too much pressure and i can see jamie stopping him in 10..should be a cracker tho! october is a big month of boxing!!!!!!!!

I know it's early, but anyone any idea what might be supporting this?

The main event alone makes this a top quality Friday Fight Night, exactly what that show needs.

Doesn't allegedly have exclusive rights to that venue for boxing.

personally I think it's a horrible fight for Moore and he'll get exposed here.

Rhodes has the exact style to do him. Moore is nothing more than a come forward pressure fighter. A hardy bast*rd, but nothing special skillwise (Amazing that some on here have argued and presented cases that he'd beat Paul Williams).

I am prepared to give him credit for beating Rhodes (who is domestic level). Lets keep this in perspective though, for the way Moore is hyped on this forum, he should be having absolutely NO problems with Rhodes, a guy who lost to Lockett (and we all remember that Pavlik farce).

Personally I see Rhodes being unorthodox and making things very awkward. He will be very dangerous with the hooks and straight punches.

Moore gets exposed in this fight. (Like I said, I'll give him credit for winning, but remember, this is only domestic level).

Well, he looked good against Piccirillo (but then, the question- how "shot" was Piccirillo?)

His last defence was a predictable win over a limit opponent, who perhaps shouldn't have been allowed to challenge for the title.

He has stopped Andrew Facey and Matthew Macklin, though, both quality domestic opponents.

He did have, not sure how long that was for as it started when Hatton went to Fight Academy in 2005. Surely the MEN wouldnt have been tied in for this long, especially with the lack of boxing frankies put on there, would they? Like I say the MEN was mooted for the Piccirillo fight, but wasnt viable according to sky. Where else is there in the North West that holds around 3000?

I cant see them taking the fight to Sheffield, although Jamie told me he'd fight Baysangurov in the Ukraine if his team won the bids, so sheffield to fight Rhodes wont bother him.

This is european level.

Jamies in a no win situation with you then, shame as he's far better than you give him credit for. His defensive boxing against macklin was nothing short of superb.

Paul Williams is a different kelttle of fish, but Rhodes of today gets beaten fairly easily imo.

3 years ago I would say Moore had no chance against Sergio Martinez, but now he has a good chance.

Rhodes is too erratic and not the fighter he was, imo.

Great fight and a fantastic chance for Moore to prove he really is world class by beating a good euro level fighter in Rhodes.

Who knows, maybe the spice boy will roll back the years and put on a show?

Looking forward to it!

DG,
Stop talking bollocks.
Rhodes had to pull out of the Small fight due to illness.
Before the Small fight could be rescheduled, oppertunities came to light at EU and EBU level.
To fight at Euro level you have to relinquish the British title.
That's when he relinquished the title which enabled Small to fight for the vacant, and allowed Rhodes to be ready willing and able to take the Euro fight - which is exactly what has happened.
So on what basis exactly did Rhodes deserve the unfounded accusations ?
What would you have done Mr DG - the font of all knowledge ?
