I think Fury deserved more time than given by the board, but so be it. Fury, at 21 years old, should have plenty of energy but I worry a little about him burning out.

I can't see how McDermott can improve, but Fury should only benefit from the experience of 10 tough rounds. It was a tough call last time, but i favour Fury more clearly this time.

I know what you mean, Stu, but I don't think this is necessarily right. For example, even though I rattled on about it being crazy at the time, the first Rogan-Sexton decision was correct (if you ask a guy how many fingers you're holding up and he gets it wrong, that's that) - but they still ordered a rematch because of the circumstances.

Maybe Big T got a bollocking - I think if it happens again, he'll be looking at a bit more.

- Can't wait for you soft lads bet your big pants off for this one.

Make sure a mate has a video cam on you so we can have the youtube record of slackjawed astonishment when Tyson knocks him into a quivering heap of jello.

That's if McD isn't properly TKQed for turning tail and running to the ropes like he did twice to escape the KO.
What a load of utter nonsense. So bad it's almost funny. Almost.

The inevitable has happened.
Re match ordered.
Purse bids due by 14 October 2009, fight to take place before end of December 2009.
Terry O'Connor's explanation fully accepted and he keeps his Class A licence.
Taxi for the Board ............................

You might be right Coco but the story is more about the Board and the distinct lack of balls.

Typical b*s re the offer though, diggler. Big John gets offered the match at less than a month's notice? He's in bad enough shape when he has plenty of time so what would he be like then?

The Board might be able to help things along by not allowing Fury to fight for any other BBBoC sanctioned belt until he faces Big Mc again.

The thing is, I have a really bad gut feeling that Fury will win the rematch...based on nothing which I saw in the first fight, I know that.

Rogan v Sexton is an eliminator for that so if Williams is stripped (and I don't see why he should, unless he's side-stepped a pre-arranged defence for Prizefighter) they'll fight for the Lonsdale.

Winner of that v winner of rematch would be good though!

Plus MH gets the fight on his show, sure Frank wouldnt have gone for that one.

i'd like to hear from HS on this... usually got press releases flyting round left right and centre from Fury, been bloody quiet since the board announced this rematch.

John O'Donnell is lined up to make a Commonwealth defence in December, other than that there's nothing on the horizon.
