Again, Clev's round.

Nothing much is happening, but Clev is throwing more punches..

Clev stops Fry.

Clev caught Fry and then overwhelmed him. Fry did well to keep up but then too many punches got through. Ref stopped at right time.

Overall, thought Fry did well, really gave Clev a tough time and even though he weren't winning rounds, he was still keeping the pace with Clev.

I still fancy Bomber against Clev.

Nice easy money on a Friday night. Decided to have a big bet on Cleverly here tonight. Didn't get the best odds as I put it on in the morning, thinking the odds wouldn't be that good. Still, it's easy money in my pockets. Going to make a speedy withdrawal of the winnings immediately after the fight. Easy easy money lads. lol at the mugs who work hard long hours for that type of money :OhYes:

Tomorrow I'll probably have 5k on Juan Manuel Lopez for yet another easy few quid.

Not bad for a student!

I know..
And yet you couldn't find the 500 quid you owed a lad on here. Shameful.

clev is proven at this level..bomber's best win is matthew ellis who has become a journeyman..clev would comfortably win at the minute..down the line tho it would be a good match up

What an incredibly obnoxious ass. Takes a real genius to pick a -2000 fight. Can't wait to see his comments when he loses his shirt betting that kind of chalk. I also like the way he posted a Murray play AFTER it was clear he was going to win the fight. Way to go out on a limb with these picks

Bomber has power, and if he can last aslong as Fry did, then you'd fancy him to land.

We'll save that for the other thread though

Opticald, you made about £85 mate, not excatly gonna buy you a house in the country now is it.

Let me tell you a couple of things if I may, firstly, gambling on heavy favourites in boxing will lose you money over time. There are too many unforeseen possibilities, such as cuts, other injuries and a lucky punches. Odds of 10-1 on are mugs odds ina two horse race.

Secondly, where do you get the cheek to have a pop at people (probably with families to feed) who have to "work hard" to earn their money and simply don`t have the luxury or chance to put more money than they can afford to lose on boxing matches??

Mate, I have nothing against gambling posts at all, I love gambling, always have. However bragging about it on an internet forum at the expense of people who work for a living (whilst you are a student from what I can gather) shows a real lack of class.

It looks like a couple of words aremissing from the end of your post. It should have read " I know - what a wanker"

I was impressed with Cleverly's patience he looked strong and put his combo's together well. Courtney Fry was akward I thought Clev dealt with him well. Good performance in my opinion

Lirva's bet: Bet 1 grand to win 100 quid? Trust me that's nothing to brag about. If anything quite the opposite.

why with a smile on his face? clev didn't loose a round..and as soon as he landed cleanly he shook fry badly...not his best performance but i doubt bomber will be jumping with joy..would like to see bomber step up in class..maybe ovil mckenzie would be a good fight for him

I thought that it was a decent Cleverly performance without being spectacular. A good wake up call to those who think cos he's walked through a few lesser fighters that he is going to do that every time.

He showed other parts to his game last night using his speed and his body punching well to break down Fry who is a very cagey and well-schooled fighter.

I think they are doing the right thing with Cleverly, keep progressing him gradually and he could well get to world class.

Cleverly will have learnt a great deal from last night. I think people are being a little too harsh. Fry fought very negatively, he rarely committed himself to the fray, and was throwing his punches to keep Cleverly off balance and prevent him getting his own shots off.

As a consequence Cleverly found it very hard to find the openings he wanted, but in the end, he forced the issue and found the shots that mattered. I thought it was a mature performance, and you could see Cleverly adjusting during the fight.

Still a work in progress? Yes of course. Potential to go all the way? I personally think so.
