Re: Worst decision in a fight
Conny Velensek/Chris Finnegan European title fight in Germany. Finnegan appeared to win easily but only got a draw.

Yep, good points. It's a shame Wharton was so one-paced as his hook was a beast and although it rarely gets mentioned when we have these 'All-time Best Chins' debates, his appeared to be absolutely granite - can't even ever recall him being shaken by anyone, let alone be put down, which given some of the men he faced and the fact he wasn't exactly hard to hit is quite an achievement.mickey1975 wrote:Yes,thats the way 99% of the t.v viewers saw it.At the stadium, there was no outcry, but it was a very hostile pro-Wharton crowd.Looking back, headlinig at Elland road in only his 16th bout, live on the BBC,i wouldnt be suprised if the ref subconciously favoured Henry. They are the sorts of pressure you just dont get nowadays

Nardiello floored him, with a backhand, but that seemed as much a footwork problem(stood square on)as anything else.He shipped some absolute hayemakers against Benn and Eubank who both name him as the "hardest" they have ever fought(not the best, before anyone gets carried away).Deserter wrote:Yep, good points.
