I don't think Gavin is all that. I hope he improves and gets there, but I assume his gym work is sharper than what i'm watching on the telly.

I suggest you guys turn the volume off and watch his fights "cold".

Having said that, i've not pro boxed, so maybe there's something i'm not noting.

Another of these "prospect stoppages"- OK, Gavin would have won on points (I reckon) but... come on!

Bad stoppge, got to sat that Arnie Farnell has lost every important fight his stable has ever had. I like him but it dont look good. I mean who is in charge in the corner Farnell or the baldy gut? they both work for Warren but Arnie should be the only voice in the corner and that aint up for argument.

That is simply not true, he works for Warren and is his yes man nothing more, nothing less. He could be a good trainer but is simply un-proven/in experienced to be jugged. The only reason he has these prospects is becuase he is Warrens yes man. Dont get me wrong he is potentially a good trainer but he is NOT a world calss trainer......yet!

You picked your shots well when you threw combo's you were getting to him but I felt the stoppage was a poor decision

Straight away I'll get to Frankie's stoppage, It was spot on without doubt!! Frankie was putting the right hand in his face and smashing him with a huge left evreytime!! Look at the guys eyes and his demenour!! He wanted out!! Frankie was brilliant last night and in my eyes was the star of the undercard bar Mitchell!! This was no soft touch the guy flattened Drilzane in 1 for god's sake!! Frankie was brilliant and showed power from 1 to 6 and that's a massive feat while he's coming through!! The kid will be world champion I'll put my life on it!!

As for Arnie, I've been around enough top coaches to know when I have a fantastic coach!! Maybe unproven BUT believe me he'll have plenty of champions and titles soon enough!! He ain't Frank's YES man at all!! Him and Frank have a great working relationship and are close on a personal level too!! Were all a team!! He doesn't teall Arnie how to train us and what to do!! NO ONE does that but Arnie!! As for Dean in the corner, He brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the corner, He knows who's in charge though as he clearly tells us "LISTEN TO WHAT ARNIE IS SAYING", Dean is a fantastic part of our team and knows the game inside out!! Arnie knows his fighters inside and out and it was his choice to end the fight no one else's!! It killed us all watching that BUT he did the right thing for Bellos and that's all that matters!!

Just be patient and give Arnie a chance to prove himself instead of writing him off straight away guys!! Trainers have to start somewhere it's just Arnie is plying his trade in the spotlight to start with which is very hard to do.. :TU:

I think people are being a bit disrespectful to Fwank here actually. He would not have a "yes-man" training the best prospects on his books, just for that reason. He clearly believes Arnie has the brains to be a great trainer, and anyone who says only-one-voice-in-the-corner isn't watching enough top notch boxing.

Terry D wrote:Thought the looked excellent again. I was there and you could really feel the impact on the other guy's shots. Thought they caused the swelling but Frankie did great to shrug it off and step it up in the final round. He looked a class act in the Saville fight and I really like the look of Gavin, think he is passing all the tests put to him and will be thankful of having had the odd rough moment. He always responded when tagged last night and the shot that put the Frenchman down was a slick punch.

Don't see why he gets so much criticism to be honest. He was the pick of the three amateur stars last night, and has been every time they've been showcased :box:
I don't think he was the time he suffered the cut, but he has improved alot since and he now is the best of the amateurs IMO. Although the stoppage wasn't spot on IMO - he is showing improved power from when he first turned pro
