At the time boths lads were undefeated and Wayne was a big prospect. Tony stopped him with a vicious body shot and there was no shame in that. Wayne told me after the fight that it was the hardest he had EVER been hit (remember he had sparred with a lot of the Calzaghe camp)

If you want to call Wayne a bum to his face drop me a PM and I will arrange it no problem, again please post a link to your fight record

i was at that fight too mate. great fight to watch, and i have to say alltho brooks got beat, it was 1 of the toughest fight of bellews career so far, wayne got hit with some really big shots but kept on going regardless, showed allot of heart to get up from the head shot in the 3rd, i thought the fight was over, i was shocked he got up of it, credit to him. i seen a vid on youtube of brooks beating harry miles, hes a good kid and hope he goes a long way.

tony u keep doing ur thing and let the haters say what they will say. these haters will say the same things when u become world champ so there is no pleasing some people.

Really nice guy too, We had a chat afterwards and the man is a gentleman, I wish him all the success in the world, Send him my regards.. well said !! cramps who are you to call someone a bum have you ever boxed in your life ? and why would his comments insult you ?

To be honest Tony I think this is a good match for you, getting the rounds under your belt is a valuable experience, and you will probably get more out of this fight than taking out a better fighter
