That is bollocks. No way is Khan anything like "chavvy" - he's a good hard working kid, and I'd say very likeable. He may not have anything like the wit, charm and smarts of a Naz, who does? But he's still a really decent kid, he gets loads of flack in the UK and it's no surprise he'd prefer a few years in the US, why not, it's every fighters dream to headline out there.
MightyWarrior , you and I are on the same wave lenght here re: Mr Khan.
fair do's knocking your motor around is a bit stupid. But for me Khan is very humble at least in the 50 orso interviews I've seen of him. I like the kid and hope he does well.
Just because he isn't the perfect fighter...people taking pop shots at him, it's just because he's famous. Like the other boxers, he is merely trying to do the best with what he has, good luck to him.
Mind you I have to disagree with you on Naz. He's a tit in my opinion. Anybody that nearly kills a man so wrecklessly then comes boogying out of jail to a limo entourage and music and a big grin such get fcking marched straight back inside as it obviously didn't do the trick.

Plus his trainer is out there so it makes even more sense.
2 things I found quite alarming last night. Suddenly Khan has changed his kit to the Green and White of Pakistan, and secondly....did I see fat little Naz in the ring hugging him after the fight??.......To me it smacked a little bit of "the Muslim brothers..." kind of thing.
I have nothing against any race or religion but as far as I can see there was no other reason for Naz to be there. I don't see him getting in the ring to hug anybody else...I don't even think I've seen him climbing in the ring after a Rhodes victory, at which he is always present. Naz should have kept out of it, it looked a bit "Muslims against the rest" to me.

I saw Frank Bruno and Naz all over Nigel Benn after the Mclellan fight, they could just be friends.

Naseem Hamed was basking in a Muslim victory is how it appeared to me. Surely he has other friends, I don't see him publicly hugging them. As well as basking in Khan's limelight if you ask me.
Great fighter, bit of a t*sser if you ask me.
Took a hiding and never sought to put the record straight. Nothing wrong with that......unless you happen to have previously proclaimed yourself a legend that "can't be beat".

i am aware of Haye's shorts. I think they let him train on the island as long as he displays it on his shorts, but I think he is happy to do so anyway.
Well I think I'm right. I don't see Hamed following other fighters about, apart from Rhodes, and you rarely see him in the ring with rhodes after a fight.
Hamed should just keep out the way IMO, he's had his turn.
As for the IRA comment well that's just silly.

It's funny isn't it - a lot of people on here have slagged Khan off for being a git behind the wheel. Well, I seem to remember a certain Mr Eubank being a worse git - he actually killed a workman when speeding. Eubank is generally spoken of fondly nowadays, even though, like Eubank, he was reviled at the time.

Yeah but he's not Israeli though is he? Although I've noticed boxrec now actually lists him as Israeli - why I don't know.

you're probably right it just looked iffy to me. I don't like Hamed. However, I am a Khan fan I really don't see what some people hold against him. By way of some constructive criticism, everyone's going on about how bad Salita was, but Khan was a fool to jump in like that if you ask me. He could quite easily have ended up getting Prescotted again if Salita was better. That said tho, Khan probably sensed he was slow so figured get t him before he gets a chance to get going.

Wasnt very good? He was bloody woeful. Short sloppy jab, stood sqaure on, no head movement, and dreadful footwork.
The worst title challenger I have ever seen. Another yank hype job.
He made Khan look like Tommy Hearns.
As poor as Salita is Khan's speed will give most fighters trouble.
I had a daft bet on Salita. Me being greedy as usual.
Khan v Hatton next please. Great fight, Khan will stop Hatton.

You hate him because he's a w*nker?...How exactly is he? Wow, you cant wait to see him beaten so bad that his career is in tatters?

... Has Khan done anything to you personal to have this much hatred? To hate on this level is not good for you.

Exactly sg1985, also Khan is now being judged because he decided on a change of kit?

. So one fight he wears British colours then another fight he wears Pakistan colours ( where his heritage is from and has family) So what?!

You must suffer a serious case of paranoia if seeing Naz in the ring with Khan looked a bit 'Muslim againts the rest'. Good job Bruno or Benn wasn't Muslim!

Well i no enough to say he is English and not Pakistani. Who the hell would want to be associated with that horrible currupt country is beyond most nomal thinking people. If Pakistan is such a good place where women have equal rights then y the hell do they want to live in England? People who bang on about how good a place Pakistan is, if they were told to live there permanently would not want to, EVER.

The name Khan across his belt was in Union Jack design, so he did wear the British flag. He did not wear the Pakistan flag, just shorts in a similar colour

Who the hell would want to be associated 'with that horrible currupt county'? Someone whose parents are from their maybe?! Who's saying it's a good place? Nothing wrong with being proud in your heritage no matter what a sh!thole it is.
Only in Britain would we slag off one of our own after he ko'd his mandatory challenger in the 1st round.

Khan is going to make more money in the states, end of.
I really cannot see what he has done wrong here at all. Who gives an eff if he has moved to LA and has fallen in love with the place. His roots are firmly British - why should it be so important. He's not slagged off the UK, he's said he would like to base himself in the states.
Haye trains abroad, Nigel Benn once tore up his BBBoC license live on National TV and said "FU UK" (or words to that effect). Hell, I think we even still wanted to declare Henry Akinwande British after he demolished Scott Welch (shouting USA USA) in the process.
Junior Witter and Rendell Munroe both embrace their Jamacian roots, and Joe Calzaghe his Italian roots. Why can't Amir, who has consistently worn the Union Jack, be allowed to show off his roots once in a while (thats if the Green was representing of Pakistan).
I don't think if Khan was black and had Jamacan shorts and said he wanted to go to the USA - he would get this reaction. As for Naz embracing Khan..... well they do seem to be friends, and I have a feel Hamed has adviced him on certain things. The only thing I didn't like about that was the embracing and laughing around when Salita was looking decidely groggy. Should have just seen that Salita was okay. Although Naz could always be a disrespectful so and so to boxers not of his considerable skill set.... never forget him pissing himself ringside at the pretty poor standard (by his considerable standard) of Jame Oyelabola (RIP) and Scott Welch.

Anyway, isn't Pakistan leading the fight against the Taleban?
How many soldiers have the Pakistani forces lost? Probably thousands. Or don't we count those as people?
