Maybe Bennie could make a shock return to the fold.

Claude is a very good caller of fights. maybe he does side with the favourite .. then again how often does the favourite lose?

But it wasn`t who he called - rather, he often got the rounds correct.

Didn`t he recently tip Ward to beat Kessler .. and gave two options on the Khan Salita match-up .. one a clear pts win to Khan and a quick blow-out for Khan .. pretty good I thought

My critism was also that he didn`t mention too much bad publicity regarding Warrun .. the ripping off of calzaghe being the most recent.

It was an earlier post of my own, but it was part of a five-page thread where other posters clearly had similar sentiments. Much like they did when Claude failed to address the hypocrisy of Hatton claiming he was fighting Lazcano for the fans but it being a PPV bill, or when he failed to cover Warren's dubious actions to prevent Calzaghe claiming the monies he was awarded in court.
Anyway, regardless of that, I fail to understand your point as earlier in the thread you claimed I'm entitled to my opinion, yet your above comment infers that I should change it purely because it's a minority voice on this particular thread.
I've got no problem with anyone such as yourself being perfectly happy with Claude's tenure and respect that position, but I'd expect the same courtesy to be extended to my stance, particularly given my ability to validate it with tangible examples rather than it being motivated by any personal dislike or a similarly subjective issue.

Not at all mate i would not deny you the right of opinion & would not expect you to change it just to fall in line, I was just pointing out that it did vary from the rest of us that's all as is shown but the majority of posts, the longer people keep posting on this thread it may well swing to your view & by the same token I won't change my opinion

That's fair dos fella. As I said earlier, I wouldn't want my bringing up of those issues to overshadow the fact that he also did a lot of good work as editor, which is why I can recognise there will be those who champion him. To use a crude analogy it's much like football management in that it's actually rare that a manager is either brilliant or truly awful, there are normally far more shades of grey and opinions on that manager will inevitably be based on a fan's preferences re. style of play, type of players used etc.
Most importantly, regardless of what I think about him in a professional capacity, it's clear from those who actually know him that he's a decent enough guy who loves the sport so I genuinely wish him all the best in whatever he chooses to do :TU:
