It seems Smigga and his pals like to highlight people like myself in posts and claim I am disrespectful but I simply do not see them showing Tony Dodson any respect whatsoever.

Maybe people in Team Smith are getting into themselves into a bit of a mess as the claims or hints of Smith being a world class boxer are going to be exposed big time - maybe Smith knows the truth and he and his fans are trying to put up as many smoke screens on here and in the media to hide the frailities that Smith has!!! - I personally do not think Dodson will expose them although I would love for that to happen.
Spud, no one cares about you, your posts are getting tedious.
Then why keep on commenting on them!!! :TU: - its people like you who continually have a nibble on the bait!!!

seriously, though.

if spud's defined where the moral high ground is, surely that ends any debate.

For me its always good to have ambition, thats all I think "team Smith" are showing is ambition and belief.... I certainly don't feel they have ridiculed Dodson. We all ridiculed the claims made by Roman Greenberg's team that he was a world champion in waiting - personally I feel there is nothing wrong with having belief, especially as Paul has backed up it to SOME degree by winning a title and was an amateur of some pedigree. Yes, he aint proved himself as world class - but nothing wrong with the belief. Greenberg claims were based on completely nothing.

Also, what do you define as "team Smith" - Paul and his management, or Paul, his management AND his fans. Its great having a big fan base, and I'm sure Paul is very proud of that. However, he cannot speak for his fans. I definately feel there is respect there between Dodson and Smith and I just hope the fans behave themselves fight night.

I'm sure Smith is not looking past Dodson. I personally think, given the style of both guys - the wear and tear of Dodson, the injuries, the time out of the ring - I think Smith is going to look good. The pressure is on him after the Quigley mess, I just think Dodson is suits him style wise.

Thats no way being disrespectful to Dodson - everyone has an opinion on what will happen. I'm sure Dodson can come again and we do need to see Dodson vs Quigley 2 no matter what happens in this fight.

I would actually agree with what you are stating except for the 1st line - If Smith and his supporters are spouting Smith is beyond the domestic scene then in my opinion they are looking beyond Dodson.

I do agree Team Smith have got Dodson at the right time - its not Tony's abilities I am questioning - its exactly what you state how much toll have the injuries taken and the time out of the ring.

The pressure is all on Smith - he has an awful lot to prove in this and his next couple of fights :TU:

Terry - in your time of doing what are "excellent" interviews - does the boxer say what the public wants to hear to make him sound "a good bloke" - or are most of the boxers you interview genuinally honest and down to earth who say it how it is?

Or has there been occasions where a boxer has given an honest answer and you have thought " f*ck me I cant write that, I and he will get hanged for it" - in otherwords have you on occasions had to "dress" the interview up to make it reasonable.

I'll agree to disagree - Matt Macklin has often said he is "world class" it didn't make him look past Elcock....Darren Barker similarly. The "personal" nature of this particular fight, with the pride at Liverpool at stake - should make Smith prepare for Dodson well.

Nice chance for either fighter to make a name for themselves now Warren is struggling for a headline fighter.

The pressure on Smith is now there big time - I hope he proves me wrong - he now has a chance to make himself a little bit of money because he could clearly thrust himself into Warren's thinking with regards to being one of his headline fighters.

With those thoughts Warren will have to put Smith into some big fights - is he up to it?

The current WBO champion is beatable imo. A fight with Magee in June for European title would be good.
