Think he did pretty well last night, all things considered. Good result and hopefully he'll move on and find out how far up the ladder he can get. All this talk about whether or not he's world class seems a bit redundant to me. Right now he is British level but moving in the right direction. I don't think anyone's picking him to be a future HoF'er but I'm looking forward to seeing his career unfold and finding out how far he can get. Next step is European level before we need to worry about World class opposition. He'll have his hands full with Magee and I'm already looking forward to see how he gets on at that level.

I have never stated anywhere that I am world class, I have never said I am going to be, should be or could be, and I think too many people put too much of an emphasis on "levels"

I'm British champion. Not a world champion, so the talk should be of the British title and British "level"

The fight was scrappy, cuts like them make you worry and game plans go out the window. Any fighter will tell you that.
Game plan went but I am still the champion, I won and to me(and any other fighter in my position) that's the most important thing.

IMO some have been a bit harsh after the win which as you said was made a lot more tougher with cuts. Good luck in the future and i for one look forward to seeing some more Liverpool shows as they seem always to have a cracking atmosphere which always seems to lead to good old fashion domestic scraps.
who knows maybe boxing will take over from football which on this seasons form wouldnt be to hard.
Paul, do any of the Everton or Liverpool players come to you or your brothers fights?

Thanks mate, yes they get there now and then. I think with them it is just if they have a game the following day.
I try not to mix football with boxing. Unless you're Ricky Hatton you can't afford to alienate half a city!
I have a load of Evertonians who support me knowing I'm a red and loads of reds following me too. It's boxing at the end of the day.

Having footballers watch you from ringside is good for the crowd, but in honesty any boxer will tell you once the bell goes they could be naked and you probably wouldn't notice
