For crying out loud, leave Andre alone- he fought a BRILLIANT fight against one of the World's best.
Then kinda spoilt it all by doing an impression of someone with brain damage...whicker wrote:For crying out loud, leave Andre alone- he fought a BRILLIANT fight against one of the World's best.
Nonsense.CheckHook wrote:Then kinda spoilt it all by doing an impression of someone with brain damage...whicker wrote:For crying out loud, leave Andre alone- he fought a BRILLIANT fight against one of the World's best.
i agree with you, lets give dirrell some praise, its all about using and sticking to your gameplan to find a way to win (a la haye v monster) the obvious way to beat abraham, is pitter patter punches in quick combos, then get out of range, abraham, for all his strength, is a ctually quite a limited boxer who uses the 'ill get to you sometime in the 12 rounds' attitude, he does not have a plan b, dirrel showed the already knowledgeable world just the way to beat abraham.whicker wrote:For crying out loud, leave Andre alone- he fought a BRILLIANT fight against one of the World's best.
You think he covered himself in glory with his brain damaged twitching then? Or are you actually saying that was a legitimate reaction to the damage Abrahma caused?whicker wrote:Nonsense.CheckHook wrote:Then kinda spoilt it all by doing an impression of someone with brain damage...whicker wrote:For crying out loud, leave Andre alone- he fought a BRILLIANT fight against one of the World's best.
I don't think he was faking, no.CheckHook wrote:You think he covered himself in glory with his brain damaged twitching then? tonyevs wrote:It was a blatant late blow - but it didn`t look a devastating shot, so makes you think if Dirrel was looking for a way out. Or maybe Abraham would have got the legit KO soon enough if Dirrel was that fucked.
Abraham deserved the disqualification though.
For me, the standard of all the guys in the super6 has been very very poor.
Gonna have to agree to disagree there then, looked like a cynical over reaction from Direll to me.whicker wrote:I don't think he was faking, no.CheckHook wrote:You think he covered himself in glory with his brain damaged twitching then? Here's my take, for what its worth. Yes, Abraham fouled Dirrell & was punished for that foul. However, I do not feel it was malicious on Abraham's part, I do not feel it was purpose. For example, take Bowe vs Mathis, now that was on purpose. Bowe knew exactly what he was doing!kierny wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0LvAbRSIOA
direll always falls over when cornered. usually it's very convenient for him. not so much, this timeRocky Balboa wrote:Here's my take, for what its worth. The commentators who were so quick to criticize & judge Abraham should be ashamed of themselves, they are a DISGRACE! Abraham has not done anything like this in the past. It was instinct & Dirrell fell over when he was cornered.
Of a bigger concern was Dirrell's state while he lay on the canvas. I wish Andre well, but these commentators need to STFU in respect of Abraham! It was not malicious. As the commentators stated, the fight was still within Arthur's grasp so I do not see there being any malice in the shot from Abraham!
i can believe dirrell faked it. maybe he was hurt, as abraham is heavy handed. but dirrell's reaction was weird, and he does seem petrified of getting hit if we also look at the froch and curtis stephens fights. i think other ppl have been hit harder while down and actually gone on to continue after getting a break.G0mez wrote:Dirrell looked to fall over as usual, as soon as he came under heavy fire.
That cheap stunt he pulled made the WWE look like an oscar winning period drama.
Abraham has now been tagged as some sort of horrible cheat, which is way off the mark.
yeah valid point.whicker wrote:The ref should have been in there quicker, and nearer to the action.
Yes, a boxer shouldn't hot a man when he is down, but then the ref should be in a position to immediatly stop the action if a fighter touches down for whatever reason.
the table at the end needs wiping down.BIGMARK wrote:i have to agree 100% and i cant believe it has taken you almost 5000 post for me to agree with youD
my view is that dirrell's looking for a way out of the combat and that he perhaps doesn't really have the stomach for it.gobbles wrote:Autobarn wrote:why does dirrell always seem to fall over when he gets cornered?
did it many times vs froch and should have been thrown out for negative tactics.
did it vs anthony hanshaw in the opening round.
hope he's not damaged but i'm amost glad he got twotted doing this. to me, it's like wlad klitschko holding then turning his back. hopefully he won't keep on doing this.
abraham was coming on and could have won that fight late, if only he'd have controlled himself. ah well, killer instinct.
I thought this. Against Froch, when he was trapped on the ropes, often he'd just fall to the floor as a way of getting out of a difficult situation. He did it a couple of times against Abraham too, because he was in big trouble in the tenth. Also Abraham had been complaining a lot about getting hit low.
Dirrell pretty much outboxed Abraham for the entire fight so I don't understand the comment "looking for a way out of the combat".Autobarn wrote:my view is that dirrell's looking for a way out of the combat and that he perhaps doesn't really have the stomach for it.gobbles wrote:Autobarn wrote:why does dirrell always seem to fall over when he gets cornered?

anyway, this will light a fire under abraham's backside. he's a quality fighter but he must get on with it quicker.
